The Gundam musou games are great if you are a fan. Absolutely repetitive however the story arcs and collaborative/merged stories are fun to read and play if you know the content of the anime behind them. The games were designed with a specific audience in mind and it's fantastic if you're into Gundam.

Recently the One Piece musou games are amazing because they fit the source material so well. In the manga and anime a gommu gommu punch sends hundreds of enemies flying and that's just like musou.
Berserk though? That's about small scale fights where Guts gets hurt pretty much every single time, but in the end he outskills his opponents -- usually by aimed dismemberment. Which is the polar opposite of musou games.

My point is that some of the musou titles are catered to niche or specific franchises ie Gundam, One Piece, Dragon Quest.
If you happen to be a big fan of them it can either be a standalone title you'll sink some hours into or a gateway into the main franchises like DW, SW, or SB.
I'm not here to convince anyone - just throwing my two cents. I have some friends excited about Berserk getting another game and others that are frustrated it's a musou title. Sure, I like some of the musou games but I'm just pleased I get to play some chapters from the manga as a video game. Out of some anime/manga it's a little surprising that a game was even considered at all.
