FUCK! The balance is still too shitty to being more limited to play like that. The old server browser was shit because you did not know if you were joining server with 3- minutes left or if it was in a vote to change to another map, sometimes even joining a server with a map and see the welcome screen being of a completely different map, but that does not mean I wanted that to be lost.
Now you are going to be fucked if you want to try anything interesting at all to have fun. I loved to jump into servers and play with the sticky jumper and the iron bomber but against a barely decent team it's going to be fucking stupid to try and play like that so if you rank up you will have to addapt to whatever "meta" people want in this shit balance they have and everything involved with it if you don't want to die inmediatly.
Just imagine people trowing shit and votes inmediatly just because of what you want to play as in the higher ranks. Extra long respawn is only on maps like dustbowl stage 1, where red is "supposed" to lose, they're only supposed to be holding out as long as they can. The longer you defend, the less time blu has to attack on later stages.
Stage 2 is more balanced, but depends a lot on how long stage 1 took to win.
Stage 3 red has the upper hand, short respawn and easy to defend. Blu only wins if red drops spaghetti on the floor. Sure the time from earlier stages helps.

There are different ways to fix that and changing the palystyle, you know? The concept that make mediguns OP are the consideration that makes them counter eachother because medic is OP on his own and basically a musthave class in your team.
Kritz would not be used as much or at all if they did not have that 25% building speed to be ready before the Medigun is charged, the gun that can make crits irrelevant. The concept of wich one to pick turns around TIME between these weapons and how a fight works between them, like falling back when you kritzkrieg and repush with it if you got pushed back with an uber After you used the krits. Kritz counter uber in the sense that you can have before the medic and also have a chance to kill him with it, but Uber counters krits because it makes crits irrelevantes. This in turns switch back and forth what can be more viable in differents escenarios of the map, and because a bad choise does not forgive you (you can't simply say "ok, i have krits, but we will need uber now because X circumstance made our crits irrelevant [let's say they got uber due to bad uber tracking], but it's ok because if I survive 15 seconds more I'll have uber"; it does not work like, and if you change you are giving Uber advantage, so you are fucked).
You can make the quikfix have something that could give you an advantaje, like being viable to go and fight after a kritzkrieg medic but you get fucked if you fail, like you would with kritz vs MG.

Heavy needs a bigger buff, but Pyro needs more work, if you get what I'm saying. Heavy needs to be stronger, but Pyro needs an effective primary weapon (flame particles are too random and buggy as fuck), an afterburn that isn't useless or frustrating for enemy players, a higher skill floor, more effective ambushes and a clearly defined role (seems like they are going for disruption this patch, they've tried to make him a support, a weird combo dps char and a close range ambusher in previous patches). None of this shit can be done by tweaking numbers and it would be easy to fuck up and make him OP.
Heavy could be fixed by Valve not being scared of a strong Heavy. He should be a monster to account for his hitbox and speed. Then he'd find his niche in defense, which is where they always wanted him.
