There are many reasons to shit on EYE.
For instance, bad fucking english. It's my third language, so imagine how fucking hard for me it was to understand what the hell was going on in certain instances.
Then you can easily say the game looks barren and without details in many scenarios, it has horrible particle effects and clearly favors the COD approach while everything else is absolutely underpowered, making co-op really fucking bad if you like doing hacking and stealth and you're playing with randoms.

If it were longer ,had better character development, more technomancy powers, better dialogue and voice acting, it could have been like The Witcher 2 and Spiders would have ended up making an AAA game in a couple years.
