If you take grunt, then ALSD imo.
It is slightly more accurate, has a higher rof, but slightly less damage and critical damage.
However even with hand loader lil devil does not have access to any ammo with armor piercing capabilities.
45. auto super has -4 DT which while not amazing is better than nothing.
Also Maria is also completely viable against weaker enemies to save ammo.

Well what i did was skip the main story completely after i beat it the first time(which btw brotherhood ending is best) and go directly for the sidequests. Get a wiki and look at all the sidequests and things and try not to play the gane so linearly. Also theres a mod called "Alternate Start - Infinite answer" that allows for some alternate roleplay in just about any faction race and allows you to customize.
Theres also a silent player mod, and a mod that allows you to kill off main npcs like preston, its called "Mcdonough must die". Ive had so much fun just respawning preston, trapping him and splattering his brains with different weapons

I tend to get overwhelmed when i played new vegas, fallout 3 was immensely fun and perfectly balanced rpg elements and gameplay for me. New vegas imo was cluttered with unessecary items and extra things that made it very distracting to focus on the game itself. Fallout 4 seems to be the next step in the right direction, although i miss the verbal options.

Also all of you whining and complaining that i gave todd money, i didnt, i always pirate bethgames because steam updates fuck my mods up. Fallout 4 may not have as many rpg elements but in my opinion it has just the perfect balance, and makes it feel like you are actually in the fallout universe with voiced player characters. My biggest issue with fallout 3 and nv was how disconnected i felt with the characters. These characters and companions seem well written like they could have been real people. All of those popup menus really broke immersion for me too...

Just because someone has a different opinion than you doesnt mean its bait. New Vegas in my opinion is way too bloated. The skill tree is too big and many perks are outclassed by other perks. This leads to the illusion of choice. FO4 greatly streamlines the builds and removes the fluff.

did basically this except that I was a grunt that had already been dishonorably discharched and hated the NCR brass. Then I started working a bit for them in the Mojave and got kind of liked, until I decided to help Cass feed McLafferty two shotgun shells and got lots of infamy. What is the difference between skillpoints and perk skills? The numbers? Honestly you are retarted, it basically builds your skills in increments of 25 with every perk point you put in. Its the exact fucking same. Also the more advanced and rare perks arent even in the perks menu, you have to hunt for those specific magazines, which make them useful. My point is perk levels are the same as skills it more efficient and streamlined than paying attention to 3 sets of buffs. Everything is centralized and easier to keep track of.

Getting to a required lockpick/science level by just reaching the increment of 25 necesarry with food, clothing, and drugs was useful and I could plan builds of NV by the minimum amounts of a skillcheck skill i'd need to get in order to make up the difference with temp skill increases.
In fallout 4, I just have to wait until Todd says my level is high enough to pay to pick a lock.

- companions are literally the best they have ever been in the series, including interactive relationships, being commandable, feeling like you are romancing or befriending them.

- power armor is essentially starting level equipment, you need to upgrade/repair it. Its powered and requires a fusion core, its fucking animated and actually feels like a powered exoskeleton.

All of these games play more or less the same, and they all skimp on things like role playing mechanics and writing in favor of HUEG MAP and DOING ANYTHING. Each one was worse than the last, except I'd say Skyrim was better than 3. I did multiple playthroughs of 3 as well because I was younger and the Bethesda model hadn't burned me out yet. Now it has, and the little things that only bothered me in Fallout 3 make me fucking furious in 4 because they're either the same problems that haven't been fixed in 7 years or they're new problems that came from changing the few things Bethesda games had going for them in the first place. I'd never tell you that you're a bad person for liking 3 or anything, but I can promise you that if you go back to it now after playing 4 you'll likely get sick of it just as fast.

I think it would be interesting becuase while culturally very similar to the US, what happened there in the last 200 years would be a mystery becuase who is to say they got hit as hard as most of the US. Of course the nuclear winter was just the same but it may be more developed with new factions that could be very promising. I think it would be cool but thats just me.

So here's my two cents on the endings. In the long term, NCR, Ceasar's Legion, House, or an independent New Vegas probably won't last more than 100 years. So once a nation falls, the invading force takes what that nation has made and innovated. Who do I think would last the longest, create nearly the most stability, and make the greatest innovations since the great war? House. One thing that House has that the NCR doesn't have is absolute power. And in a waring, tribalistic society like in the game, democracy will not work. You don't have time to take five years to get a bill passed during congressional gridlock when an enemy is at the gate. Caesar's Legion is better than the NCR in this case, but one problem is that they're all from individual tribes. A lot of them can even remember what tribes they were in. So once Caesar inevitably dies, it will be a power grab for the most powerful tribes in the Legion and there'll probably be civil wars. House's army is all robots. They do as he commands no matter what. Sure he'll have military contractors as well, but it is much easier to command an army with a push of a button. And since Vegas is an economic superpower, it will improve the standard of living in time and encourage STEM research to advance. An independent Vegas would work as well with this, I just like Mr House so I just go with him. I do have a mod to have an alliance with the BoS since I think it's retarded to destroy such a powerful faction with mutual interests against the NCR.

Basically, what he says is that too much people rolled with House because they saw him kind of a "default" option (he hired you to deliver a chip, after all), and a big feature of FNV is that you can change allegiance until the final battle, so they added his hatred of BoS because it made sense and because it was a thing that made people stop and consider "Am I really going with the right man? Do I want to do this?". I guess NCR has Colonel Moore for that purpose, and Legion is obviously a much darker option from the start (that makes somewhat more sense once you talk to Caesar).
