A very slow game. I think my expectations were way too high. I was so hyped. But the game is very slow.
Your choices matter and they aren't even obvious so do keep multiple saves. At least one at the start of each chapter so you don't have to go back through the game again. But its slow. It takes its time.

If he's a completionist, he'll have to go through the first few chapters multiple times to get all of the goodies you get from texts as some of them are mutually exclusive to each other.
If he doesn't give a shit about that, the beginning of Chapter 4 is the time to start making backup saves as you start getting the texts that lead to true end flags there. You're not very likely to get them without a guide though.

In any case, I would dread having to go through the early chapters again. I'll admit it! I didn't like the game that much. Maybe I was too hyped.
But I have to give them credit, there were a couple of really great scenes and ideas. And the choices really do matter and make big changes. I mean, I could tell the writers really tried with this game. But it was too slow for me.

If you're only concerned with endings, then yes.
Just skip everything you've already read. If you want every ending, then don't get a single true end flag on your first run as one character ending requires you to have none to get. The other three character ends you get along the way by not manually using the phonewave at certain points.
After you have four endings, reload a save at the beginning of Chapter 4 and skip through everything until you start getting the true end flag texts. Use a guide for the right answers.
This kills the future.
