damage boosted widow does 395 damage on a headshot to zarya, and if you try to bait her with a shield a good sniper will just make you waste it and then either run away or shoot you anyway. it's not a good solution.
against mediocre widows I honestly have had the most success with 76. widow can't skate around in and out of the scope anymore so she's very easy to headshot while scoped, and 76's head hitbox is all over the place if you adad strafe a lot while shooting. just get a few headshots in and toss a rocket and usually she dies. the really great ones will just kill you anyway, but eh, not much you can do about that.

D.va is actually very good. The problem with d.va is that requires a minimal degree of coordination with your team, which is hard to find when playing with randoms. A solid 5 people group and a libero d.va is very good comp. But randoms don't do that. They just play it like it's some form of team deathmatch.
Many times as a d.va player I end up forced to push the payload, which is exactly what I shouldn't do, while the rest of the team pushes ahead and gets killed.
The point is it is not d.va's fault you aren't playing with your friends and having some level of organized tactics going.

Because autists flip out if they're not in there. It's been a joke since the mid-90s that in multiplayer games, if there's a sniper, 90% of your team is going to be preteens trying to snipe.
The only thing really balancing snipers is that humans can't aim that well in a game where people move ten times faster than a real person, with instant response times. But if someone actually CAN aim or can aimbot in that game and get away with it, they become a big problem since they operate at the furthest range, can one shot anyone that enters LOS with them and generally have no drawbacks against targets that can't reach them. They're not balanced in terms of their mechanics or damage output, just the ability of the attacker.
I think a lot of games would probably be better off without snipers, and Overwatch is one of them. Almost every pub game has one or two sniper instalocks. The role doesn't have any real application in Overwatch that can't be served by another kind of hero. It's just there because of the expectation that it be there, and to give the game a backline for heroes like Winston something to do.
I don't think Widowmaker is bad, but if she and Hanzo were removed, it wouldn't impact the game at all, other than improving the quality of most matches.

I've yet to have a widowmaker be able to kill me as winston, even if they headshot you on the way there you still have enough hp to kill her. The worst thing that can happen is they vine away and another teammate like reaper pops out of the woodwork. Even then just drop a shield and jump away.

Snipers don't even belong in this game it doesn't fit in at all.
They need to let d.va be able to shoot while flying and just have melee or m2 cancel the flight.
Also move her weakpoint to the back of the mech.
