1) Download Dolphin 5.0 Emulator
2) Download Mario Party, Mario Kart, Kirby Air Ride, your game of choice, GCN ISO files from emuparadise.me
3) Host a netplay room and post the code here to play with other anons
If you're joining, you do not need to start the game. If you can't connect to a lobby, it's probably already started.
>Config -> GameCube -> Slot A/B Memory "<Nothing>"
>Graphics: Force 4:3 Aspect Ratio
>Right click game in your list-> Properties - > Disable "Speed up Disc Transfer Rate"
>Turn off any widescreen hacks if you have any on (If you literally just downloaded Dolphin, don't worry about it)
>Some games may require you have cheats enabled to unlock everything (Config -> General -> "Enable Cheats"). Just leaving it on won't mess anything up
>LEAVE EVERYTHING ELSE ALONE
If you're new and it's your first time hosting:
Pad the buffer somewhere between 15 - 30. If you need to go over 30, don't bother hosting.
Each buffer frame adds basically 16.67 ms of input lag.

Are the American Versions most commonly used or PAL?

Works fine here. Played a few 50 round Mario Party games fine. Usually if there's going to be a desync, it's at the beginning.
So how many of these games are playable with M+KB?

Hey lads i'm not sure if this is a good question to ask in here but what are some great party games to play with friends? I'm setting up my wii and want some fun stuff to play with for 2-4 players, so far I have Melee, Kirby Air Ride, Mario Party 5, and Double Dash. Is there anything else that's worth looking into? and also is Mario party 5 the best one?

The games aren't programmed for a situation where one player loads quicker than everyone else, so you gotta let the game load as fast as it would on the Gamecube.

If you all have under 100 ping, Mario Party is a 60FPS beautiful experience with 4 fucking players.
Basically, if everyone follows the OP, it's perfect assuming they're PC can handle dolphin. If it cant by any stretch of the word, fuck off because youll bog down the loading for everyone else.

As far as I know, the only downside is you can't use wiimote emulation, so as long as it can just use gamecube controllers you're set. Haven't tried it myself, but that's what I've heard.

We just tried to set up Four Swords, but couldn't get the VBA emulator to work on netplay. Just offline.

I work with music and 20 ms input lag is so much worse than what I've had with people with the buffer set to like 17
also it seems to vary with every game
I had worse lag on Mario party than with melee or double dash with the same buffer rate

Yeah. I wish it worked, and maybe someday we'll get there, but if you try it now, it just won't link the GBA to the gamecube, you'll sit at the GBA logo and it won't try to connect.

It's still going to be bad. You're always waiting on the person with the highest latency. The buffer padding literally just adds input lag so the emulator doesn't choke waiting for input.

Gauntlet, Pikmin 2, Brawl's Subspace Emissary,Shrek 2. Not a whole lot without Wiimote/GBA emulation, sadly.
It is worth mentioning that you can play virtual console games through netplay, so something like Secret of Mana or the Kirby games is possible. You'd be better off playing those on an actual SNES emulator though.
