>tfw realize VR web browsers will probably have websites that are interactive 3D spaces, and you could literally shop for items in a virtual space that can look how ever the web developer wants it to look
>Go to an anime store like rightstuf.com or something, and it looks like a store in Japan, with kawaii catgirl attendants
>>
Or you can just go to a real store you fucking degenerate.

Hello
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VRML
>>
That's been tried at least twice already, with VRML and Adobe Atmosphere. HMDs aren't going to suddenly make a terrible idea work.

Meatspace? Get with the times, gramps. That's some unschway brouf.

There are no terrible ideas, just terrible implementations.
>>
>>344134712
What would be a good implementation of me sodomizing your butthole with a rusty crowbar?

multiplayer VR murder simulators
>>
>>344134712
No, there are terrible ideas. For example, square wheels would be a bad idea regardless of implementation. VRML was a bad idea because it communicates less information and is more difficult to use than HTML. Head tracking and more flops isn't going to solve that problem, if anything HMDs make it worse.

Not if roads had triangular slots.
>>
>>344136025
You'd use star-wheels then.
>>
>>344136025
No, that's still worse. Such roads would be more difficult to build and maintain, they would be much harder to walk on, and square wheels would be more difficult to build and maintain. It would also torque your engine up and down quickly and continuously, which would put more wear on it.
>>

But what if you got a complimentary mint for driving on the road?
>>
>spending tens of thousands of dollars on a virtual storefront which can only be seen by 0.001% of your market, and none of those people will use it more than once because it's woefully inefficient
Sounds like VR, alright!
