It could be fun when it's finished.
and it does look pretty cool in some games if you decide to fix what looks off.
But most of the games look like a trainwreck.

What is it?
I get that you have to tweak every bit of the game to make the 3d look proper and have the settings saved for future use.
Is there a website where the best user edits get rated up and are used for the particular game. I think this 3d NES thing will benefit from a community supported site that does this..

It knows which layer is which and then it extrapolates with this data + sharp color contrasts, especially favoring black outlines.
It also can tell based on certain shapes that something is a sphere if it's circular for example.
