Remember when xbone owners were hyping this up before release and saying it was going to get a 90+ on metacritc?

Good times.

OP's thread.

I did. Game is kinda meh. Not enough fast, I enjoyed my time with it, but it's nothing outstanding.

Alan Wake 2 teaser was fun.

>Windows store only
>no physical release

And that's why

>>
>>344106670
Hiw big are the sales of the new tomb raider game? I dont know anyone who bought it, and people just dont seem to care about it.
>>
>>344107068
they will, the same way Steam or Origin titles have physical releases, with a plastic card with CD key\activation code written on it
>>
>>344107442
That sounds bloody terrible. I thought Steam physical releases were required to have a disc? My copy of Portal 2 did.
>>
>>344107583
Yeah, it';s only in america that stuff like Battlefield 1 only has a download code
>>
>>344107583
they aren't required, but they usually do. Disc has some data on it, to minimize bandwidth usage, but you still need to install Steam activate the game and download the missing part.
>>
>LOL GUYS THIS IS THE UNCHARTED KILLER
>few days after release
>minimal threads about it
>bugs out the ass
>boring and derivative despite novel concept
You tried Remedy, keep pumping out mediocre titles until they realize Max Payne was a fluke and 3 is the best despite them not being the developers.

I suppose these days most people would rather purchase computer software digitally, but I really don't want to consider a plastic card with an activation key a "physical copy".

I can't be the only one who hordes physical titles, right?
>>
>>344106670
>not on steam
why did they think it was a good idea? I literally had no idea it existed until a week after it was released
>>
>>344106670
who i was until i put on the mask
>>
>>344106670
I liked it fine, definitely not GOTY or anything but I felt like it was an improvement over Alan Wake

The TV show shit was dumb though
>>
>>344108024
You're not the only one, buddy
>>
>>344108024
They still come in physical boxes. Disk that comes inside is literally useless, once you activate your "physical copy", you can throw it away, it holds 0 value and the same amount of purpose.

It's the age of Digital Distribution Platforms. At least on PC.
>>
>>344106753
>remember when this thing that never happened totally happened?

I bought the game but there was nothing on /v/ about it when it came out. It was too middle of the road bland to say anything clever about it
>>
>>344108712
I also got the game at launch and while there was nothing on /v/ about the game, on other gaming sites Xbox fans definitely acted like it was going to be great. They must have forgot about Alan Wake.
>>
>>344108532
By useless, you mean not carrying the entire game data on the disc like you mentioned earlier, right? Not a fan of that, my bandwith caps would be destroyed instantly. Already having a hard time dealing with the constant bandwith use from current gen consoles as it is.
