I own it and I think it's a piece of shit.
It won't go free to play anytime soon. Do you know how much of a world of shit they would be in for every retailer for still having so many copies? They'll milk retail until stock moves out of stores well before they think about a free play model.
Also, it's a shitty game, so it won't matter unless they basically remake it.

I play this game, and more or less enjoy it. It has its flaws, yeah, but I think gearbox is starting to realize how bad they fucked up and are working on at least some of the shit they can save.
If it goes f2p I will fucking drop it like a red hot iron, and I'm pretty sure 3/4 of the community would join me.
I honest to goodness like the game for what it does, it fills a specific niche I wasn't really able to play anymore since SMNC died years ago.
If it has to go F2P to save itself then they should go right ahead, I'd be upset about having paid for the game and having it go F2P but I'd be even more upset if I couldn't even play it anymore.
