You are outright saying a trailer should show nothing but gameplay, which is exactly what Twitch and Let's Plays are for. There's a reason all games with trailers have both gameplay and story focused ones - and that's because only an idiot wants a game to be absolutely nothing but run n shooty rooty tooty look its all a gamey wamey I can't handle narrative mixed in or I get sad because my ADHD runs wild.

Gameplay trailers are designed to show off interesting gameplay features in a short period of time.
Games don't usually reveal all their mechanics at once from the start, and not all LPers are intimately familiar with those mechanics.
Also the fact that you think gameplay equals mindless action proves you're a casual babby.
