Not sure about a direct sequel since I'm getting pretty tired of the gameplay of this game, I'd love to see Nintendo expand to IP to other genres. I'd play the shit out of a Splatoon rhythm game or 3D platformer.

I actually feel the same way. I stopped playing single player games on my Wii U once Witcher 3, Fallout 4, and Dark Souls 3 all came out. I mostly just used it to play Smash and Splatoon. I stopped playing Smash once Beyonetta was released because it stopped being fun fighting her 9/10 games. Now I haven't touched Splatoon since Overwatch came out. I will get BotW on Wii U since I'm not buying an NX, at least not on launch.
