Everything you said makes games 'better'

>Better games = more fans/players
>More players = higher revenue
>Higher revenue = Bigger budgets
>Bigger budgets = larger dev teams
>Larger teams = faster production

I rest my case

technologic allow developers to get low cost making assets.
>>

Larger teams, less fluent vision, bigger budgets, more corporate oversight that leads to dull slosh, better graphics, more idiots that think graphics are the only thing that matters.

To clarify, less people on a team leads to far less infighting, doom was only made by a few people, but their focus was beyond laser like, they all wanted a game where you kill demons and save Mars, a large team would have splintered opinions on what doom should be (Ironically enough, doom 2016 doesn't really seem to have suffered from a bigger team, so maybe I chose a wrong example). A bigger budget would be always fine, if it weren't for publishers wanting the maximum return, a big budget means they don't want to risk doing anything new, or fun, or the slightest bit interesting, preferring mass marketable, unoriginal stuff that'll sell to the lowest common denominator that can't understand anything slightly complex. Graphics are self explaining.

>doom 2016 doesn't really seem to have suffered from a bigger team

That's probably because they already had a clear goal in mind instead of having to create a game from scratch.
>>
>>344047481

Wrong. Games have actually gotten cheaper and less time consuming to produce since 2013; PBR workflows and similar architecture across all platforms have really sped up development.
>>
>more detail
>more destructible terrain/structures
>more advanced physics
None of that is happening. Dumb frog posters shitposting as usual.

See BF1
>>
>>344055678
I see another stagnant turd.
>>
>>344055807

Looks like a huge technological leap from BF4, though. Maybe if your little JRPGs had amazing graphics and destructible environments too you'd stop complaining like a sissy bitch.

>he doesn't like my stagnant game, surely he enjoys a stagnant genre
Okay.

>>344056480
What's your favorite game so far this year?
>>
>>344056706
I don't have one, this year's been pretty bad so far.
>>
>>344056847
Last year, then?
>>
>>344056971
I'd have to go with Bloodborne. Not that big of a fan though.
>>
>>344057252
Oh, so you're underage. Got it
>>
>>344047481
Yet not a single "decent" game released in like 20 years... they can release turds every 10 years for all I care
>>
>>344057529
I'm not the one obsessed with mediocre war games, m8.
