What game do you legitimately get mad when someone says they like it or hate it?
Personally, hearing people praise Portal 1 & 2 that they're top 10 games of all time rustles my jimmies. They're not bad, especially Portal 1 which was a free mod for original HL2 owners. Also, all the pseudo intellectual cocksucking Bioshock Infinite got made me finally realize the industry had left me behind.

Bethesda games (particularly the Elder Scrolls games, the FO games are pretty dodgy but at least New Vegas showed they can be better with some good writing) and Grand Theft Auto games....I get that people like the big worlds to fuck around in but the gameplay in these games is fucking trash and it never gets improved upon in newer entries. If some people liked them and they were moderate successes I wouldn't think twice about them but they're massive industry-shaking titles that everybody talks about for fucking years after release so I do get pretty angry that people love them so much.

Undertale is a metafictional narrative that needs to be analysed carefully in order to be properly digested. Life is Strange gets too surreal at the end so it can only be understood by analyzing it's symbolism.
Understanding these games is not hard, but it requires a minimal amount of mental work. What's weird though is people not getting The Last of Us, the central theme is pretty obvious by the end of the game.

Crash 3 has way too many shitty gimmick levels and pretty poor boss foghts compared to the first two.
MGS2 has terrible writing and the Big Shell is a painfully boring setting that mostly squanders the TECHNOLOGY it had.
SMTIV has fucking awful partner AI, that godawful smirk system, terrible balance issues due to the stat changes, shitty writing, a poor map, and ugly as fuck guest art for many important demons.
Super Mario Sunshine is a hot mess for the second half thanks to the huge focus on collecting those stupid fucking blue coins that are hidden in retarded places.

Pretty much ever 2D Mario is piss easy, has awful boss fights, and is painfully boring, but SMW is by far the worst.

The only game in recent memory that I can think of that's even remotely close to an ET tier disaster is the CoD game for Vita. Literally slapped together in 6 months by some no name dev that announced their move to mobile a month before the game launched, dooming any potential future that series had on the handheld in the process. The massive hype for Metal Gear Rising will never stop rustling me. Beneath the flashy presentation (and it IS cool and all) lies a downright mediocre hack&slash title with a huge amount of flaws in it's design and mechanics. But people just love RULES OF NATURE so much, if you proclaim the game anything but perfect you're getting weird looks.
Also whenever someone goes off on fighting game execution requirements. These days devs go out of their way to make execution easier so much, it loops back around and actually makes things tougher again, with how lenient moves inputs and how huge the buffer windows are. I can't tell you how many times I accidentally did fireballs when I meant to do an overhead in SFV it's ridiculous. Or like how crouch heavy into uppercut into super is the hardest combo in the game because unless you are really really careful, the game reads the uppercut motion as the super. We've reached the physical limit on how easy you can make this shit, if you still can't do it the genre is just not your thing.
When anyone uses story as a reason to play a game. I know the concept of book and literature are entirely alien to /v/ and words that most people here don't understand, but if I wanted story, I'd read a fucking book. Gameplay stories are not written by authors, they're written by either the ideas guy or someone who's cheap enough that it won't impact the graphics or marketing budget. If devs hired actual authors to write their stories, I'd be a hell of a lot more willing to entertain the idea that video games have good stories, but to date the only game that comes to mind that hired an actual fucking author is Mass Effect 1.

Most of those are fair, if arguable points but I think you're selling SM64 a bit short there. It was groundbreaking for its time, even the camera controls, and it could be argued that the interplay between the level design and movement mechanics are still some of the best a 3D platformer has seen to date.
