Has anyone played this? I gave the demo a try and I liked it, I just don't know if ep 1-5 is good/long enough to be $15
I pirated it and just finished not 20 minutes ago, I regret not buying it during the steam sale but I'm still too jewish to buy it after I've already beat it. Sincerely hit me right in the feels however. I haven't had a game fuck my shit up like that in a long time. Assuming you're not a jaded faggot that hates everything I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I bought it up during the sale and was very pleased with the purchase. There were a few points where I felt a different option that wasn't presented to me would be best but I figure that if we were given total control lots of people would be able to shut down the game's plot by the first episode via complex applications of time travel. So that's mostly forgiven.
The few characters that get fleshed out throughout the game do so very nicely. There is not enough time for everyone but there is still a lot to love. The story itself managed to surprise me a few times and while other people complain about how they lingo is out of whack I didn't find it too distracting.
If you blitz through the game you'll probably be done in about an hour for each episode but if you're taking your time you'll probably get 2 to 2.5 hours for each. One nice thing if you're a completion is the ability to go back and play through scenes in collectible mode and not have to create a new file.
Not sure where you're getting $15 from but if you buy it on steam you could probably get through the first episode and a half before your 2 hours run out.
I wish I couldgo back in time and play this for the first time. I feel like replaying it wouldn't be any good.

This, this game is the "flawed masterpiece" of it's kind, except for the major puzzle part of Episode 4, this game is great, i'd suggest anyone to buy it, i pirated it myself and now am going to buy it on steam to replay it, it has well written and interesting characters, it has lots of drama and the story is engaging, it has great atmosphere and vibe to it too.
I just don't know how else to describe it.

I genuinely think the majority of complaints come from two groups of people; a) people who literally haven't played it ("tumblr! SJW! This is definitely one of those "I wish I could play it for the first time again" games. It really hits you in the feels, too. I think some of the atmosphere was great, some parts were super creepy and well done, and a lot of it was touching, and other parts reminded me a lot of being in college. I'm really glad I got this game.

I bought the game during the summer sale. Was put into an actual depression over the ending for three days afterwards. Such an amazing and genuine game. Nothing I've ever played has captivated me as much as Life is Strange.

Both endings are prettyshit for Max, in Bay she is probably going to have PTSD and survivor's guilt over this shit and will not be able to talk about it without being put in the nuthouse. Okay so I went back and chose the other ending. It it was longer and more fleshed out but it's much more satisfying to ride off thelma and louise style.Fuck Arcadia bay, the prescots were gonna ruin it anyway.
Aside from the comfy atmosphere and setting, and giving you the feeling of actually having friends, everything is kind of shit in this game.
But if you just want a comfy ride (that ends in horrible freak accident - not literally, EP5 and the ending is just absolute garbage) it's perfect for that.
So it's kinda poor but it's the best we have. (Telltale games don't count they try too hard to be adventure games rather than just interactive stories)

It focuses too much on swearing, conveniently putting together clips from completely different part of the games that disregard characterization and the situation the characters were in the the sake of proving some point. Nowhere in my post I spoke about the game and me disliking the review doesn't imply I like the game. I am not interested in disproving any of those points, because that is not what I was talking about. I was talking about the format of the review, which is as cancerous as what the author seems to consider cancerous.
He is the one that has to present credible points. But if his point is making a compilation of scenes where a character says "hella" and overblows it out of proportion, then it comes out flat. He even acknowledges, 15 minutes in, that he should focus on why the narrative doesn't work but, as he says, "it would be night-impossible". Funny, it's night impossible to talk about what matters, and yet he spent 3/4 of the videos making funny jokes.
