how did they change the bosses in the director's cut? i managed to cheese the bosses in the original by throwing barrels at the southern guy, dont remember what i did for the second boss and then just punched jamir while he was jumping a wall

I played DE:HR for about 45minutes one time, i remember running around in an office.

Anyway, i wana get into the game again but I heard things for and against a GOTY? version and the regular version.

removes the piss filter and makes it so you aren't absolutely fucked against bosses if you're doing a stealth build

Directors Cut is the same game, minus all the DLC bullshit that alters your start, with revamped boss battles that allow nonlethal victories. I guess.

desu I played through HR, watched a friend play through HR and can barely get into the game anymore. If MD captures the atmosphere of HR I'll be content.

If you're doing a stealth build, you should have MORE experience to dump into stats, and you should have vastly more ammo and grenades than what you'd have otherwise.

Obviously a perfect system like the first Deus Ex would be optimal but it's not the end of the world.

I always liked the original DX system. It felt more like a true pen-and-paper RPG. Skills and augments makes sense.

Can you play the DC and skip the DLC Boat mission in it? Cause fuck, that thing killed it for me.

What's wrong with it? If you don't get the reference, then the email feels perfectly natural, which is how references should be handled. Heck most of the thread doesn't even know what to look at.

They've put more option on how to deal with them. (turrets you can hack, places to sneak in, weapons to pick up etc etc) Way better than before.
