I really think the two series would mesh well. They are very similiar games, with similiar settings and humor.
Have Risky and Syrup team up against the awkward tag-team of Shantae and Wario, each with their own unique style of "transformation".
Maybe it's Co-op. For instance, Shantae turns into Elephant Shantae in order to squash Wario into Flat Wario, so he can fit into a gap to get treasure.
This could be an utter masterpiece.

I have
GBC is the only good one, and it's only alright at best. The game's a technical marvel but the same can't be said for its basic gameplay.
Risky's Revenge is rushed as hell due to it flip flopping on whether it should have been episodic or not. We get a mess of a game with crappy platforming, level design, short dungeons, and awful backtracking. What could have been a great follow up that improved upon the original turned into a complete dud.
Pirate's Curse would be fun if the level design wasn't a hallway. They made the game far more linear this time around by making every area separate, but they did nothing to at least make them fun to go through. You go through straight lines for a majority of the islands before you reach the "dungeon" section that only has a few puzzles, minor backtracking, and easy platforming segments. Pirate's Curse also helped improve the flow of the gameplay by making Shantae's abilities be an actual part of the moveset rather than interrupt the flow with a stupid dance.
From the footage shown, Half-Genie Hero looks like they actually bothered to hire level designers this time around. Hopefully this one will actually be good for once instead of just being okay.
But yeah, you go on ahead and keep pretending the Shantae games are flawless.

Yeah, I only made it through the first one too. The 2nd one is ass with its minigames, nonlinearity, secrets, AND game speed. The combination just sucks ass. Never tried any of the ones after because Id like to play them in order.

Should I get Shantae's new game when it comes out? I've never played a Shantae game before. I own a Wii U, and there's nothing else coming out that has me interested, but I am weary, what with it being a kickstarter game and all, just like Mighty Number 9 was. What kind of game is a Shantae game?
