The game now panders to newcomers so you can blast through content really fast and you will get some really good wellfare gear that will help you blast through the previously challenging raids and such with ease. Not just with the gear, but they made sure to nerf the battles themselves to hell and back and give you echoboosts right off the bat.

Good for raid progression. It's not going to turn a wipe into a clear, but it'll let you hang around for another 30 seconds or so and get a good look at the phase you're wiping in.

The entire backstory of ala mhigo is detailed in optional dialogue from the monk questgiver as you progress the MNK storyline.

What game are you playing?We've had the plot points of the Warriors of Darkness since 3.0 and the White Ascian teaming up with Urianger since 2.55. What's going on with Yda and the Lala has also been hinted as being an important plot point that might be expanded on in 3.4 onwards and don't forget Ilbred but he'll most likely be in the Yda plotline. Alphinauds sister as well is making a come back.

Crystal Braves and the betrayal was an end of 2.X Main Story plot. Dragonsong War was the 3.X early to mid plot points and now we're up to the later plot points that will lead us into the expansion. The main story isn't going to stop and then suddenly when 4.0 gets released we'll decide to do something and find out what Alisaie has been up to and knows.
