Drakengard 1 was actually really fun.
I can understand why people do not enjoy it though.

HOWEVER I do think Drakengard 3 was the weakest entry.

The combat and style was flcool at first but the maps are too big and too many enemies to kill got boring.
>>343926214
The combat system was actually fun in that one. Juggling enemies into the air never got old.
>>
I agree. The aerial missions were fun and using Angelus/Arioch in the ground missions was always satisfying unless it was a mission full of those assholes that shoot green goo at you. Or archers..
>>
Drakengard has some spectacular music and I applaud and respect the composer

my favorite

I've no idea what kind of music this is supposed to be though, some sorit of avant garde orchestra bullshit?

The combat for 3 was great but does Taro Yoko try to find ways to make his games shit? The frame rate issues where awful.

I forgot to mention, most bosses are fucking great too. Giant Manah, corrupted Furiae and the Queen-beast were all great.

plunderphonics, orchestral music sampled and composed/produced with EDM mannerisms
>>

How? Not being mean, just absolutely confused on how it could be fun. The tone and style are cool, but jesus, the combat made me want to kill myself.
The combos were repetitive and simple, the movement was stiff, and the enemy variety was miniscule for most of the game.
I wasn't able to finish the game despite really liking Nier and Drakengard 3.

Upgrade your weapons to the point that theyre basically flesh blenders. Dragon specials murdering a large crowd of people making the counter go up drastically felt satisfying as fuck. Honestly people say you have to be a masochist to like these games but I think its more like you have to be a sadist.
>>
>>343930189
Aerial combat is quite dynamic and responsive. The ground combat is dull. If you ask me the tediousness of the ground combat comes from the speed of the game. I don't really see much difference between DoD1's "squarex3+triangle" and NieR's "jump+triangle", personally.

Is the Japanese voice pack for Drakengard 3 worth getting or are the English voices fine? I've heard the translation was kind of rushed and I'm worried that even with my not so great Japanese I'll be able to hear some discrepancies if I use the Japanese voices.
>>
>>343931737
Both are fine. Zero sounds tired-bitchy in the Japanese version and angry-bitchy in the English version.
>>
>>343931737
The performances are definitely better than the english dub imo, especially Zero who has a completely different tone in Japanese and english.
Plus it's only like 5 bucks.

But didn't his brother die cause he was off jacking it in the bushes to little boys?

>>343935598
How was he supposed to know the Empire would coincidentally raid his home right while he was our jerking it to relieve his sexual tension that he had because he refused to actually hurt anyone
>>
I'm literally only interested in D3 because of the ending

what else am i in for?
>>
>>343934481
Leonard disagrees and so does more or less the entire world he inhabits.

Thanks Squeenix. Also branch A may be the most unsatisfying ending I've ever played.
