Parts of CE are harder than anything in 2 to this day. Reach too, surprisingly. 3 is the easiest bar none, ODST maybe a little above 3. I'm not counting 4 because I only played it twice and don't really care to know it. Never played 5.

Not him but I don't get why so many people say CE was super difficult. It wasn't easy, but the elites were pathetically weak and the only really annoying enemies were banshees. The flood were much, much easier to kill because of CE's ridiculously powerful shotgun and (at a distance) pistol.

Well, Halo 5 is by FAR the easiest of them all on legendary. You can really tell the difference.

CE doesn't become truly difficult except in certain sections. Most of The Two Betrayals is a bitch, especially the parts where your shields have to come down to fuck up the generators. So is most of Keyes. The Maw isn't really bad, though.
Also, if you played it on PC, it doesn't really count; kb+m makes shooters, Halo including, much easier all around.
