Even with weapons that reset on landing after a jump, you can attack extremely rapidly by jump cancelling and backdash cancelling in quick succession.

That was pretty exciting.
I don't think I've seen a closer finish in a speedrun. I'm not saying it was the best run but that was probably the tightest fucking end I've ever seen.
People were only excited because they didn't want to watch that stupid fucking 5 minute long bossfight twice. While this run was exciting conceptually it was an absolute bore to spectate. Par course for Romscout desu.
