I've been replaying Shenmue. It's comfy as fuck. Once you get pasted the uncanny valley NPCs and dated controls it's fun just to wander around and talk to people and explore.

Shenmue is good, but you need to have patience. You can examine many things in the environment, and that is how you often find items and secrets. I recommend getting the undub version since the English voice over is pretty awful. If you take your time with it and don't immediately get turned off by the dated aspects you'll probably enjoy it.
