So Nintendo made Mario Galaxy and it was a great game, they introduced Rosalina as a new character because Mario only has like fucking five characters at a stretch
So when the next Smash rolls around they put Rosalina in as the new Mario rep
How is that a problem? How is that "pandering" to anyone except "people who liked Mario Galaxy"?
Are people upset because she appeared in Mario X Sonic Olympic games too? Even though literally every fucking Sonic character you've never heard of is also there? Or is it because she was a hidden bonus OPTIONAL character in 3D World?
What exactly is the problem with using a relatively new character in an already starved roster? Is it because she's a girl? Is it because you wanted some not-actually-real character like Dry Bones or Birdo or some shit playable? Fuck that.

I don't give a shit about personality in the mario cast. Rosalina's design is so similar to Peach's that it's boring. Toad is an interesting addition because his design is so different from the others.
