I wish the vanilla game had the M2. Maybe used by some of the super mutants. The problem with modding in an M2 is that it would pretty much break the game. It would need to be completely rebalanced for it to work.
It worked in Tactics because the ammo was so rare and heavy. And hardcore mode permadeath meant that you needed to be really careful around enemies wielding it.
