The clay effect is mostly normal maps and on how you animate it, its just a regular ol' model at the end of the day
Doesn't make rigging any less of a nightmare, I have no idea how HAL went about making their original rigs and it wouldn't be easy to replicate. But I have no idea how people go about making SFM rigs, I doubt they match the original games' quality though

I love them all! So it is hard to pin down who I like the best. I feel Super Star is a pretty damn stand out game, but I feel Ultra ended up surpassing it. So in a rank it feels like to me it would be Kuma, Shimo, Sakurai, then Hamamura. Nothing really wrong with the games just what I like. Never played Mass Attack though.

It's not that badwhen you're a kid.
It's definitely a show oriented towards children, and 4kids' localization makes sure of that. But it's still enjoyable if you're a fan of Kirby.
That being said, Southern Dedede and Zorro Meta Knight are fantastic regardless of age. Also the mayor is Dr. Eggman.

On the subject of puzzle games though, did any of you play Star Stacker? I was pretty big into Puyo a few years ago (wasn't all that good at it tho) and was thinking of giving Star Stacker a try since it seems similar and fun.

Adventure is always a good afternoon game and Super Star is a legit 10/10 from Sakurai. Kumazaki improved on that 10/10 and continued the multi moveset abilities from Super Star which I love I just feel like his own games have kind of a bland level design. Amazing Mirror was a unique experience as far as Kirby's go and definitely a great game in it's own right, but personally I found the exploration a little frustrating. Shimomura's games have great presentation, settings and music, but they play too slow for my taste and I say that as someone whose first Kirby was Dreamland 2.
Squeak Squad was just completely forgettable.
