It's mostly the Trainers that were broken. The Pokemon were okay. Modern TCG now has broken Pokemon but much more tame Trainers.
Although, it still triggers me that they keep printing things that mostly help EX Pokemon get better, yet when they print something that could be used as a counter, they immediately make a counter for it.

Has anyone played the randomizer? It's kind of fun at the beginning when everyone has shitty decks. Once you get some good cards, though, it's way too easy because the enemies don't get any stronger.
Also, I definitely recommend anyone to play TCG2 if they haven't already. It gives you a shit ton of cards, there are duels with special rules, and there are duels with special deck conditions. At the end you get to fight a bunch of ghost niggas who have decks that use actual strategy.
