Bastion can counter Zarya pretty well, especially considering that people tend to forget about any other attackers when a Bastion is about.
Yeah, I can melt down a bastion 1on1, even at rrange, but chances are if I'm only at 50% I'll be low health, and easy pickings for the enemy team. I can peek and shoot, but seldom is a good bastion placed in an area where you can peek at him without the rest of his team being able to see you the whole time.
I personally just use a D.Va to have my team get rid of Bastions. It's easier, safer, and is always more successful for me.

The best thing Zarya has going for her is her damage as a tank, her repertory of weapons (because she is one of the heroes who can attack Genji withour letting him reflect the attack), and her potential to work with other heroes.
Her downsides are that she needs to be carried to try really hard on her own to actually reach her potential agaist decently enought enemies and also she is a risky pick in terms of team composition because she car work well with some players around her but she does not movility nor anything consistent enought to help her, so you basically move as a pack, if she dies, she needs to get her charge again with everything that it represent, if the person she is playing with dies, she can get easily overwhelmed with no movility tools or constant source of protection. And guess what? she will need to get her charge again, and is not like it's a big deal anyway. I've like the character because she need to know everything to be decent and also mix tracking, arched proyectile weapons, and being constantly aware of your enemies and teammates as an strict obligation to be worth it (you can be better with any hero doing the same, really, but she needs it as the bare minimun, wich is different). I don't think she is overpowered in her current state, especially not with the 6 players limit per team and mostly chocky maps (slighly easier to bait people into shooting you but harder for you to get away and good luck trying that with zarya against a decent team).

It's one of those games that really makes you have people to play it with if you don't want to rely on random dudes. No matchmaking or ranking is never good enought for that.
People running away, ignoring the objetive, pretenting everybody is at fault but them because they think the whole turn around the 2 or 3 shits they know about the game (tanks charging into 4 people and complaining that is the team's fault that he died because he totally should be able to kill them if someone is healing them; reins taking out the shield randombly or charging into the whole enemy team; healers who don't understand what they are doing yet think they should've win because they have a (shitty) healer on the team, bonus point if the enemy also one or two healers, making that argument pointless; people thinking they can get away with everything just because they fighted shitty players before, like if kicking a baby in a bed is the same as fighthing a fucking bull on heat; etc).
Every single multiplayer sucks right now, even if you people to play them with, the balance is always so shitty that it gets bored really fast once you reach the point where you have to play a especific way EVERYTIME or lose inmediatly if you try to do anything original at all.

How do we fix the god-awful ally targeting? It auto-locks onto the most buttfuck retarded options sometimes, and all you can do is try to look at/around allies better. But they keep finding new and amazing ways to get in front of a shield/heal/mercy fly/etc. instead of the intended target.

Shes not overpowered, shes strong, only due to the recent nerfs to McCree and widowmaker body shot nerf (shes not as played as much anymore, and she can two shot her)
People crying about her being overpowered are shitters who cry that shes a "tank" who killed them quickly with high energy. She has no mobility skills, and is literally a giant light bulb at any decent energy, just avoid her while shes charged, or better yet try and use the "team based FPS" element and 2v1 her, she cant really escape without help.
Of course these things get sort of countered by a good zarya player, with good positioning and shield usage, but any non autistic 40-50 ranked group can figure this shit out and lock her down when she over extends slightly.
