I certainly understand that point of view, I just think that Zelda's exploration, NPC interactions, and sidequests have been lacklustre as fuck in recent years outside of the Capcom titles, meanwhile I can always appreciate some good environmental puzzlin', which is why I feel WW was such a disappointing entry - literally every one of those four aspects was lacklustre as fuck. It had glimmers of great potential but ultimately shit the bed.
Part of why I'm excited for BotW is because it seems like it might be a Zelda where the exploration, NPC interactions, and sidequests might NOT be shit. The shrines look pretty tight so far, so I can only imagine what a full-blown dungeon will be like.
