Enhanced, by far.
They just removed excess amount of skills that were basically variants of existing shit and served no purpose beyond being excess for the sake of excess. Basically they got rid of all the shitty variations and instead focused on quality instead of quantity.
EE is pretty much mandatory anyway for how much it overhauls the last 1/3 of the game which was blatantly unfinished and rushed in the vanilla version.
I actually haven't played the "classic" version but having looked at the wiki, some of the skills were outrageously imbalanced and the handful of removed skills appeared useless. EE isn't perfectly balanced either but far better.
