Why does this poor lady keep shooting herself? :(
Alright /v/, time for the ultimate question.Do you shoot ∆, or let him go?
Keep in mind he's 124 and you're still pissed.
>>343794193It was time for her to sign off.
>>343794057
uggh, you are worse than the "muh Alice&Clover are totally relevant characters"
When Junpei casually mentioned that he had blown up FtS' HQ, is instantly thought that the main plot twist was that Kyle went back to past, gave Junpei and Seven the info, creating the possibility of a timeline where Brother is dead and R6 isn't released, but he had to make sure the VLR timeline was still a possibility, so he had set the entire game up in a reverse ruse. Everyone thinks they're trying to create a timeline where R6 is not released, but in truth, they're actually actively working towards making the VLR world a possibility.
Best Zero in the series. He was just so hammy that it was a treat whenever he showed up.
PLEASANT DREAMS.
>>343794269
>[shoot Gab]
What do you call an unresolved cliffhanger?
Did people hate Akane before ZTD? I never saw people call her a retard before this
Zero and Junpei hamming it up on every scene was a sight to see.
I enjoyed this game in a different way than I enoyed 999 and VLR. Those wore more like complex VNs. This was a great bad B movie.
>>343794269
Let Mira touch his heart. I mean he's stillthe leader of a terrorist cult that already kidnapped and killed people all around the world.
>>343794269
Unlike Akane's """"""""""""machiavellian"""""""""

>all that shit in the background of the bomb room was never used
>>343794269
Let him go. His manipulation was the same as Akane and Sigma's yet I don't think they deserve to be killed. Besides, if the fanatic is real then radical-6 is the lesser of the two evils.
>>343794509
Why are Akane fanboy so annoying?
Is this their fist work of japanese fiction so they fall for the childhood friend meme?
I want to blow my load on Phi's D cups.
>>343794269

>>343794509
In 999 and VLR she came off as this huge mastermind. ZTD shows how much of a complete retard she actually was the entire time.
She had access to a literal spacetime machine, could've used two incredibly powerful espers with Junpei and Carlos (Maria too, if she had taken her to the moon too and cured her, while teaching her how to control her powers), could've basically found out about Brother's identity and told it to herself, Sigma or Phi through the morphogenetic field at any time, and didn't even bother to run a background check on the people that were going to be in DCOM, even though Crash Keys hacked the system to put her, Sigma and Phi in weeks in advance.
In fact, VLR Akane is literally folowing a failed bootstrap paradox that has the destruction of the world as the constant, which means she should actively work against it.

Honestly, doesn't the fact that Many Worlds is basically fact in this game kind of devalue actions

Just finished ZTD and while I certainly enjoyed myself, I can't help but feel disappointed.
Instead of the game standing on its own, it ended up feeling like a bunch of forced explanations for stuff that happened in VLR put tugether and it didn't even succeed at that.
It just doesn't feel right desu. It's as if we got SW:A New Hope (999), Return of the Jedi (VLR) and then instead of the expected Empire Strikes Back we got The Phantom Menace.
There's so many things that don't make sense to me.
Why did Delta start a religious cult? Why did he make the clones? How did he achieve immortality? Why did he hate humanity as it was? What's the full story behind the snail-induced chain of events? Did everyone just accept Mira being a heart-fetish serial murderer? If not, what happened to her? What happened to imouto? Where is Not-Kyle? Why was Phi transported into the future? If the scientists figured out how to use the transporter, why didn't they use it?
That's just the tip of the iceberg, but my brain is in total chaos right now
VLR > ZTD > 999
>>343796781
It comes up in ZTD, they don't know how many times they've been asleep before when they wake up.

I liked it a bunch, but there's no denying a lot of plot strings were abandoned.
I feel like people here really don't understand that the game is lucky to even be a thing and they were probably given very short dev time for it and things had to be simplified or cut.
I'm just glad I live in a timeline with any conclusion.
>that sigma and phi banter starts
>hardly ever goes anywhere
Why? What a missed opportunity.
>>343796925
A lot of what you're asking is answered through critical thinking and in-game files

999 has the most coherent and contained story and atmosphere. It knew what it wanted to be and do, and did it. VLR has the best overall package, with its genuine puzzles, music, moral decisions, developed characters, quality VA work, and a tragic story that mostly works on its own. The Q room is second only to the sudoku as the franchise's apex.
ZTD on the other hand was a complete disaster, saved only by its cheesiness and an occasional 'cinematic' moment.

Alright so using the transporter you modify all the timelines, because you sent a copy of yourself to the past, so no matter what, as long as Sigma fucked Diana at least in one timeline, every other time line that includes them not fucking or dying will also result in Delta existing.
However it says that Eric and Sean helped Mira escape from prison and sent their copies to the past to prevent Mira from ever murdering anybody. If this truly happened it would mean that all the time lines, no matter what, would be forever be time lines were Mira is not a serial killer, which means all those things that the snail caused to everybody would never have happened. 999's story would never exist because Akane would have parents. Without 999 VLR would also not exist, so to an extend ZTD would never have happened too.
So what the fuck is the deal with this? Did Uchi fuck up and contradicted himself when writing this ending for Mira?

Instead of C team it should have been D team doing all the Shifting adventures. Just suddenly giving Junpei and Akane the ability to jump made no sense.

Short answer: no
Longer answer: Sending someone back doesn't make them exist in all timelines.
And there exist plenty of timelines in which Q+Eric+Mira are unable to move the snail, for some unknown reason.
That's the problem with multiverse, that everything means nothing in terms of plot because there exist just as many universes where X didn't happen.
I've cracked the code: Carlos is moe.

In the ending where Eric tells Q and Mira about his past, why did she kill him?
Did her mind break because she realized all the awful shit he went through was her fault, and since she was a psycho autist, she didn't know how to deal with it?

I'm re-reading the VLR Q&A for curiosity's sake. Here's some interesting answers Uchi gave:
>Q2: What happened to Snake/Light during the events of VLR? Did he search for Clover for 45 years, like how Junpei still searched for Akane?
>This will be revealed in the 3rd game. I hope you guys look forward to it.
>Q10: Where is Aoi during VLR?
>This will be revealed on the 3rd game. Hope you guys look forward to it.
>Q21: What’s going on with Ace? Does he die or escape from prison when Radical-6 hits?
>This will be revealed in the 3rd game. I hope you guys look forward to it.
>Q22: The cloak Akane wore in the End or Beginning, with the Free the Soul symbol on it, looked like it was the same as the one Snake wore in the true end of 999, which had the Free the Soul symbol as well. Why is that? I thought Snake’s robes were from when Lord Gordain ran the Nonary Games, so why is the Free the Soul symbol on Snakes’s robes?
>This will be revealed in the 3rd game. I hope you guys look forward to it.
>Q24: Is there a possibility of Sigma and Phi being a couple? I know his body is old, but Phi DID say she showed herself in a swimsuit in one of the timelines…
>No, they won’t be a couple… I can’t tell you any more without it being spoilers, so please look forward to the 3rd game.
>Q37: Is it possible that Brother is somebody we already know from 999 or VLR? Or is he a new character entirely?
>It’s a secret. =^ー゚)b
>Q39: In ‘Another Time’, who is Kyle Klim? How can he swap his consciousness to his past self in 2028, when he didn’t exist in that time?
>He is a person who knows things that he should have not known. There is no specific rule that you have to be yourself to possess a psyche. In 999, young Akane and 21 year old Junpei communicated. The developed version is to be able to move yourself entirely, so if your frequency matches, then it is even possible to jump into another person’s body.
>>343801471
I didn't even think Delta could be at the bunker.
>>343801339
I'm pretty sure when were looking through the cameras is from his perspective, he had those glasses that could see the cameras so when ever were looking through a camera angle its probably though his magic glasses

>>343801339
hid behind the sofa, then wheeled like hell behind the bar counter

Wait. Can't you practically have an immortal life if you're using the transporter? Let's say esper A in his twenties found a transporter, he then store it in his house and in his forties, he decided to use it. First he swap his consciousness to his twenties and start using the transporter to make a clone in his forties era. He then shifts his consciousness to his clones in forties' era. Voila! He becomes young again.
>>343801468

One hour or so was wasted by basically watching the same cutscene 6 times.
I played 999 and VLR and was enthralled by these games the second I started them, but in this game? Nothing.
Everything just feels kinda cheap. From voice acting (especially Zero 2) to graphics (hello Walking Dead 1) to the writing in general. With the flow mechanic everything just feels so disconnected.
I can now start with some puzzles but I really don't know. Does it get better Anons? Or should I refund the game instead?

>Q44: Can all ESPers have the ability to jump, if under the right circumstances? If not, what makes Sigma, Phi, and ?/Kyle so special?
>Actually, in terms of setting, only a few number of ESPers can jump. And I can only say that they were born with these special powers. It’s the same as, why can Usain Bolt run 100 meters in 9.58 seconds? Of course it is a result of him undergoing intense training, but it doesn’t mean if everyone trains they can all run 100 m in 9.58 seconds either.
>Q47: Could you give us hints about Phi?
>Φ
>Q50: What happened to Snake and the rest of the 999 cast during the Pandemic and succeeding apocalypse?
>This will be revealed in the 3rd game. I hope you guys look forward to it!
>Q52: I noticed that old Akane was wearing a ring on her ring finger. Is this a wedding ring? Did she end up marrying Doctor Klim or someone else? Or is there some other meaning behind the ring?
>She’s wearing the ring on her “right hand”, so it’s not a wedding ring.
>Q56: In the ZE universe, how long has Free the Soul been around? In question 44 from your previous Q&A centered around 999, you said that the robes worn by Snake were from Lord Gordain, who “conducted strange ceremonies in the incinerator” (along with friends) on the Gigantic/Britannic, which leads me to believe that Lord Gordain was also part of Free the Soul. But according to Seven, while talking behind Door [7] in 999, Lord Gordain died in the 1930s (1931/1932, I believe). If these two statements are correct, then Free the Soul existed at least by the 1930s, if not earlier. So when was Free the Soul established? And how did Brother manage to keep his brother’s DNA intact/uncorrupted until the technology to clone (Dio/Left, 4th generation Myrmidon leader) him became available? Also, when was human cloning invented in the VLR timeline, and when was the first generation of Left clones gestated?
>This will be revealed in the 3rd game.
>>343801516

I found that hilarious. >Yes. That would be correct.
>Q64: It is mentioned in the game that Free the Soul was known as Free the Soul of Y before they dropped the “of Y” part. What is the significance of “of Y”, and why was it cut?
>It means “left eye of Horus”
>Q65: Is “Brother” still alive in 207X, or has he died? I recall Alice said he was a pretty old man, which means he was already old in 202X. And if he has died, has a “Brother” clone taken over Free the Soul, or did someone else become the new leader
>This is just between you and me, but he’s still alive. Whether he’s alive using secret powers related to his ESPer abilities or he just had the best doctors because of his financial stability to keep him alive doesn’t matter, but he is for sure still alive. According to one theory, there are rumors that his body as a whole had time slipped to another time
>Q78: Why wasn’t Santa with Akane on Rhizome 9?
>That’s because…
>Q81: Was Luna the robot who was created to look after K when he asked for a mother?
>Yes. In actuality she wasn’t created because K asked for her, but that’s probably what the young K interpreted.
>Q82: In 999, the young Akane sees events through Junpei’s eyes. Does she do something similar to see futures in this game? Also, where does Brother get his information from? Does someone transmit it to him?
>I don’t think young Akane was watching the VLR world through the eyes of Junpei Tenmyouji. However, old Akane’s consciousness can freely jump to different histories, futures or pasts. Brother gets his information from himself. He too is an ESPer.

yeh, I think there's quite a lot of like about this game (although I use that term loosely) but it is a real step down from 999 and VLR and stuff like what you've mentioned is just unacceptable.

How did they get married? They literally DESTROYED the prison room she was in, they would both be hunted to death.

>Q84: Did Tenmyouji ever develop romantic feelings for anyone other than Akane in the many years he searched for her?
>The feelings he has towards Akane is beyond just romantic feelings. At the test site Tenmyouji found out about the great burden imposed upon Akane. I think he wanted to free her from her burden, so that is why he was looking for her
That's about it for questions relating to ZTD. Seems like Uchi was originally going to feature a lot more 999 characters in the game's plot alongside properly incorporating Kyle and "?". Also neat to see the twist of Sigma and Diana being Phi's parents was planned far ahead of time.
>>343801587

he also didn't achieve immortaility , he just lived longer because he's an esper with SURVIVAL GENES turned on at maximum power.
he also didn't hate humanity , he choose to kill 6 billions people because the alternative was 8 billions dying.

wait , this is 4chan , of course it's easy for idiots to spout mêmes instead
>>343801569
VLR happens without Junpei, Akane and Phi doesn't it?
The booklet explains that ZTD Akane is different from VLR Akane in that VLR gives ZTD info about the future.
After the ending that leads to VLR, she knows she has to do start all over again and keep going until she succeeds.

1) Literal shadows from Delta in most Q team scenes (here http://imgur.com/a/44wYR are the shadows from Pop-off, for example).
2) "The old man in the wheel chair" dialogue
3) If you try to select "Q" in the "who to shoot" scene, it will say to select Q's real name. If you input "Sean," it will give an error. If you choose "me" or "myself," the game will say "you cannot commit suicide."
4) If you say that "Q" killed Mira, Eirc will say "that's impossible!," and if you select "Sean," or "me," he'll say "I knew it was you!"
5) "The truth is invisible" anagram
6) The parasite discussion
7) Carlos/Diana not knowing why they pressed the decontamination button, or the bad execution choice (mindhacking). Sean never claimed he didn't do it, as he can't be mindhacked.
8) The anagram about the 10 that Akane finds
9) The scene after the radical 6 is chosen to not be injected where Eric talks to Gab and calls him "Old man," he is actually talking to Delta. Both Eric and Mira are looking to the screen (to Delta), and Sean asks if they could speak.
10) Q never has a portrait in the status screen, but there is one of Sean inside the Study -
11) "Even Q ... he couldn't see or hear when" (when talking about Q team execution)
12) Sean in Pop-off says "you are all really important to me" rather than "you both are really important to me," despite the fact he only knows Q team.
13) When Akane/June transport to the VLR timeline, Zero reveals that he has a little sister
14) When Zero tells Sean about the "old man" who visited him.
>>343796702

>>343802992
15) Eric says "I know the leader's supposed to decide who to vote for but...", because Delta is believed to be blind and deaf
16) Eric is suspicious of Sean because he isn't on the X-passes
17) If you try to shoot Mira, she will shoot twice before the X-pass notification comes on, because she also shoots Delta
18) Despite the fact that Carlos seems to know Q, he doesn't recognize the robot that looks like Sean
19) Towards the end of the C-team ending, when listening to the recording of Zero, Zero specifically says that he's dead in this timeline. This is also the timeline in which all of Q-team dies.
20) After Phi and Delta and delta are born, the status screen shows Q and Phi alive. Status before birth and status after birth
21) Decision game starts with "deci," which means ten
22) When Sean decides to stay behind after pressing the Decontamination button, he is staying behind for Q, and it becomes clear with close examination that Gab is chained to the wheelchair, and Q is the one staying behind. Sean is looking at the Camera (at Delta) when he says that he stayed behind because of him. And when they try to unchain Q, they are always trying to get it off the pole, and not off Gab's pawrevealed to not have been shot.
26) When Q team is drinking at the bar before the vote, there is a glass to the right of Sean, and since Eric and Mira already had drinks, and Sean can't drink, it must have been for Q
27) Zero Time Dilemma is an anagram for "Me? I'm Zero. I'm Delta"
28) One of Q's X-passes is "age," and another is "self." Thus implying that Q is the "old man" people mentioned, and Q is zero's "self."

When Carlos picked the locker, he had a 1/10 chance, but when the announcer boils it down to two, she already knows where it is, so from her POV, it's a 1/2 chance, but Carlos made his choice with a 1/10 chance.
You should always switch

Sean is looking at the Camera (at Delta) when he says that he stayed behind because of him. And when they try to unchain Q, they are always trying to get it off the pole, and not off Gab's paw
23) In the ending of the VLR timeline, Sigma asks "a child?" When he sees Sean's corpse, despite the previous indications that he knew Q was handicapped in another scene. Q doesn't show up as dead in the status screen.
24) Generally, throughout C and D team fragments, they indicate they know Q at least somewhat, despite the fact that if you win the coin toss, it is revealed that no one seems to know Sean.
25) During "You are Zero," if you choose the identity of Zero wrongly, after Sean is dead, Eric shoots 3 more times despite the fact that only Diana and Sigma are left, and Gab is revealed to not have been shot.
26) When Q team is drinking at the bar before the vote, there is a glass to the right of Sean, and since Eric and Mira already had drinks, and Sean can't drink, it must have been for Q
27) Zero Time Dilemma is an anagram for "Me? I'm Zero. I'm Delta"

Regarding Sean, WE as the players don't hear them call him Sean. WE'RE supposed to believe that there is no one else with Q team and that Sean is named Q.
Couldn't Delta have been Kyle Klim? Like, if they wrapped the plot to make that work? After all, Blick Winkel is also the player's perspective here.

I enjoyed most of it till the ending.
This should have been the case where we had like 6 really fleshed out endings and there was no true route.
I'd be down with a game that acknowledges there can be no "true end" when dealing with multiverse.
To be fair... there's no reason what I've said can't be applied to ZTD anyway.
Hell it could all be an allegory to show that players will just keep going and going until they find the "true ending" even if it's not the most satisfying or enjoyable.

>>343804021
If I was in a room with someone, along with a deaf blind old man in a wheelchair, I would talk to that non-deaf person about the old guy. For example "What the fuck is he doing here?".

I'm really gonna have to replay Ever 17.
I remember thinking that theblick stuff felt convoluted, assspully and I didn't like how everyone got to go home in the end
It could have been that I read almost all of it in one sitting and was just really tired though.
>>343799713
He already wrote that exact premise though, Uchikoshi doesn't go THAT far in re-using things
>>343804630
So many game creators jumping around trying to make a name for themselves doing something Agatha Christie already did better 90 years ago.
>>343801339
The truth is invisible.
>>343804672
Can you explain that to me? I never got the impression that we're looking at other timelines with the computer. I thought only Sean was doing that.
>>343804919
>hand-waving is skill
Please reconsider...
>>343803564
It's a bad twist, but when people complain that there was no foreshadowing I don't see why I wouldn't point out that there was foreshadowing

>zero was born as a result of a game he set up
>there would be no game without zero
>there would be no zero without game
>at some point, something (game with zero or zero birth in game) had to happen first
my head hurts

It must... have been because of the vote... at 13:30.
>>343804813
Funny thing is that a lot of let's players/streamers still can't follow the plot for shit even after all that repetition.
Is hilarious how dumb people are these days.

My opinion is that Kyle took control of Delta during the decision games and used his mind hack on others to open more historias so the happy ending could be found.
>>343804919
>worst "that guy" infinity twist ever
>out-fucking-skilled by Uchi
>>343804937
No, Sean never saw *any* of them.
Sean was added when the decision game started, which is why Sean is new to all of them. This is why Q-team was suspicious of Sean because he was just suddenly there and no one knew who he was. Also when Sigma opens the pods when you go through the door of truth, he looks at Sean and says "who is this?"
>>343801297
Memories of the coin toss were wiped, so him not recognising Sean proves nothing
>>343804946
wow, I played it once and I didn't think any of that stuff
>>343804919
>it's a good twist because everything that could have easily spoiled it was written out for convienent moments
I see
>>343805062
This why I hate time loops. It's not like I can stop other people from messing around with them, but I vastly prefer time travel stories that don't use them.
>>343805203
That's what I said, Sean doesn't know any of them. But why didn't Sean ask who the fuck Q was, or at least why was he in a wheelchair and everything. He is curious as shit about Eric and Mira, but not about the man on the wheelchair?

I think that
999 > ZTD > VLR
I enjoyed VLR but it was definitely too vanilla. 999 being just sprites and text made me feel uneasy, scared of what could happen next. The game is not horror and is not supposed to get you scared, but VLR is way more light than 99 was.
The place isn't spooky, the deaths are quite simple ('Snake's' exploded body description was spooky at least), Uchikoshi didn't mean the game to be like that but they needed japanese people to buy it and apparently they were afraid that the game would be too spooky for them.
As for ZTD he did as he pleased and you see people dying and killing in many waysJunpei's head actually scared me but I'm a wimp.
I think ZTD is the game which Uchikoshi really wanted to do and VLR is something that could've been better but he was feeling pressured to make a 'lighter' game. Still a great game, but I enjoyed ZTD more.
>>343805379
Yeah I guess you have a point there
>>343804917
It was hilarious.
>DOOM
>DOOOOOOM!
>if this nigga don't shut the fuck up
I just wish wed be able to see Carlos take him down and send him to the cells.
>>343795724Honestly it's almost natural to think that he gets some sort of god complex after ZTD, and ends up being the religious fanatic all along. I dunno, it could be a fun twist even though I am 100% certain that Uchi doesn't give a fuck about the post ZTD world.
>>343804147
This irritated me so much. Blanks are fucking lethal at that range.
>>343800121
Because he knew they wouldn't be willing to leave Gab behind, so he removed the problem
>>343805379
Actually, wasn't there a "what about him, can he talk?" thing where you think they're talking about the dog, but it's really Q
>>343805062
Zero wanted to be sure he was born with his mind hack ability (again), which was one of the motives behind the Decision game.
>>343797651
Post some Phi
>>343797651
sshhh don't question it or it might go away
