When you get to her house the woman gets up to go to the bathroom and you need to look in her purse and apparently you can see her upstairs in her bathroom peaking down at you and if you click on her face she runs down and a screamer appears.

Pathologic is creepy in a different way, and I'd argue in a much more unnerving way. It's much more relatable and familiar, which makes the fucked-up aspects of it even more impactful. That said, the game is old as shit and ugly as sin, so that might impact your perception. I can't WAIT for the remake to be done.

he was always p2p, he released the first few for free later on. his main focus was a series of negotiation training flash games that taught people how to mediate conflict resolution. he never ended up finishing ambitions, but the games are all still up. i think he got to the second last episode then just never completed the last one. it turned into a major convoluted conspiracy at the end with corporate espionage and cops turning into terrorists. there was one shot with a woman in a burka or something that attacked you, super tense and freaky especially with the art style. they're so bad but it works so well. I go back every few years and subscribe just to play them because i love them and they're only 5 bucks to play.

Order of characters: Bachelor first, Haruspex (optional) second, Clara last.
Tips: there is a lot of shit you should know (there used to be a really handy macro with basic tips), but few that I can think off are:
You MUST complete the quest of the day on first day, otherwise you'll get a game over screen at midnight, day one. Rest of the days you can screw up any quest you want, including the main ones, but on the first day the main quest must be completed. If you are getting "game over" at midnight, now you know why.
Second: the pictures routinely appearing in top-left corner of the screen are things you are randomly picking up as you walk. They include coins and sometimes nuts. You don't really have to worry about them.
Four: the weird symbol appearing in bottom-left corners of your screen accompanied by a paper-shuffling noise means you got a letter. Check on your letters by pressing L (default binding) - it brings up the correspondence menu. Letters contain additional story stuff as well as potential quest starters, so check the screen regularly.
Four: trade at every possibilities, rummage through every trash bin. Almost all trash has value: empty bottles can be filled from cisterns and traded in with drunks for bandages, broken watches, needless and razors can be traded with kids.
If at all possible, always carry around some spare needles, nuts and hooks of the collective value of 10 (you see how individual children value various items) with the youngest girls: sometimes, the blonde little kids have something called "schmoulder" or something like that. If at any way possible, BUY IT IMMEDIATELY. It's invaluable later in the game.
That I think covers the basics - telling you more tips would border on spoiling things for you. Good luck and be patient with the game, it's rather... extremely slow and janky. Easily the best story and storytelling ever featured in a game, but I'm not gonna lie to you: it plays like ass.
