I have reason to deny it. It's unstable on hands of people who can't read. If you take the time to study the exploit, what it does, how it works and how to patch it in case the thing blows up, then you'll be able to hack whatever the fuck you want without screwing up.
Still, the random errors that might pop up in the 3DS only happen after the hack procedure is done. The most crucial part of the process is the downgrade, if you fuck it up there you'll fuck the console. But from the random errors only 1 will possibly appear at there (Downgrade getting stuck before starting) and you can turn off the console without any risks.

It also doesn't help that the ports are pathetic cause the system isn't good enough to emulate anything past gen 5, yet it mostly gets gen 6 or even 7 ports. A game meant for PS2 will never run well as opposed to a game built from the grounds up to be a 3DS title. Except maybe SRPGs, which the system doesn't have despite being perfect for handhelds.
That's not mentioning the fact that the system sacrificed half its render resolution for the 3d gimmick. The 3ds could have been a 480p display instead of 240p weren't for the worst and most useless gimmick in the history of videogames.

Literally every single console you can buy right now that isn't used doesn't need to be hardmodded. They're all 10.7 or under.
