I was, I only have the pictures I used to sell all my shit now. At one point in 2011 I was hit by a severe case of "whatstheuse" syndrome and got rid of everything, so I built a sandy bridge machine to emulate in hope it restored my interest in vidya, and it did not work.

Not really, no. I find a lot of older games age horribly and aside from nostalgia or playing them for a little bit they don't hold my interest. I also don't have the time to keep up with the games I want that are coming out today, let alone actively playing older titles.
I also don't have any room for old consoles or games in my house, and I really dislike clutter if it isn't something I need in my daily life.
