Like putting Sleep Talk on a pokemon for no reason other than he didn't need a 4th move and having it work out fine whenever it's put to sleep, or healing pulse for the heck of it on a Chauncey, but finding out that magic bounce is actually pretty common.
Having a HM slave being a pretty weak link off the team, but just taking some damage while unsure what's gonna happen while sometimes dishing out a respectable amount thanks to his life orb is also a high point of any battle.
