Over the course of how many years this comic has gone on, we have experienced, laughably bad arcs followed by what I can only explain as a sleeper Mozart with an inconsistent artstyle punctured by bouts of pure skill, like >>343753735 and the related quote mentions.
The story used to be terrible, but after all the stuff from chapters 1, 2, and 3 getting resurgances in the recent chapters 17, 18, 19, and 20 it becomes apparent that the artist is either
A) Incredibly skilled at retconning his own work for mind blowing results or
B) Has planned all of this shit out for years for nothing more than single mind blowing moment of shock value
