Why does /v/ hate the Vita so much?
It's just a nice portable game console with some fun Jap and Indie games.
Do you want mobile gaming to take over that much?

Short answer: people will shitpost about anything
Long answer: people might feel burned about buying it, sony stop stupporting it and it's now a literal indie machine
Also it doesn't help that most of the niche Japanese games are coming to PC as well.

I believe the only real difference is the later model has 4g which is obviously completely worthless.
I have the older one but it still feels very comfortable and high tech compared to my 3DS or phone or whatever.
