Inmersion has become a buzzword you are right, for example one thing that i hate about a game like New Vegas that has you walking long distances of nothing just to get from dialog to dialog. This is especially true for RPGs where they expect the player to listen through walls of text and plot, or you have to do a fuck-ton of walking just to get to the next action section

Because people hate whatever becomes popular, in /v/, no one will tell you "I don't like this game", everyone will tell you "This game is shit because i didn't like it". They will not come up with any facts backing up their claim, or when they do, its something like "I don't like this game mechanic" wich by that fact, might aswell say "I don't like how this game plays"

I hated Soul Sacrifice Delta as a game but I loved the world, the lore, the backgrounds for all the monsters...
Basically if you took the game part out and made it a VN or something, I'd enjoy it way more. Hell, I'd love to have a physical book of all the backstories of the monsters like the world's most depressing collection of fairy tales or something.
