>enemies respawn out of thin air

way to break all immersion
>>
>SHODAN doesn't peg you
Shit game tbqfh
>>
>>343670331
what else were the devs supposed to do when they have you backtrack for literal hours?
>>
>>343670565
Nothing

Respawning enemies don't help make the game any better
>>
>>343670974
but it does. It means that you will never feel safe, even if you cheese down every enemy in every area.

also, the ship's filled with quantum re-construction devices. It's thus even explained how they respawn.
>>
jesus christ the leaning mechanic in SS1 is garbage
who the fuck is the idiot whining about devs removing that from the remake
>>

>I keep blowing all my inventory and dying to respawned enemies because I can't GIT GUD
>>
>>343671747
What about it is bad? There's nothing wrong with it at all.
>>
>>343670331

There should be a porn spin off called "Blister Cock" about a guy fucking Shodan's circuitry.
>>
>>343671820
>using git gud
>when talking about SS2

go shit up a DaS thread or something

>>343671574
>but it does. It means that you will never feel safe, even if you cheese down every enemy in every area.

Probably because they aren't fun to fight, at all. Feels like the game would be a whole lot better without the re-construction devices and respawning enemies.
>>
>>343672595
I think that's because you're a neo-v post millennial fucking piece of shit and you should take a fuckin' running jump onto the nearest cock
>>
>>343672595
I bet you didn't even beat System Shock first, you fucking casual pleb.

Kill yourself.
>>
Why is it so hard to imagine that monsters wander throughout the ship just like you.
Not to mention that SHODAN is actively trying to kill you.
>>
>>343672595
If you canĀ“t back up that opinion with some reasoning you are going to have a hard time convincing anyone.
>>
>>343673323

>This games haaaaaaaaaaard. Everything keeps trying to kill me.

There's a cheat you can use to turn it off.

However, you're not supposed to actually "clear" the deck you're on. Just complete your tasks and move on.

If you want safety, then just run back to the elevator or hack turrets.

You have been raising your hacking skill, right?
>>
Why does the hacker walk like he's drunk?
He makes baby steps when he's walking foward but when he strafes left or right he just slams his body against the walls
also somehow he moves when i'm not touching the keyboard like he's walking on ice
>>
When does 2 get better? I can't play it for more than 10 minutes at a time so far because it's just boring.

I don't mind the respawning per se, but it happens too frequently and since the levels don't seriously acommodate sneaking past the enemies and your weapons are constantly deteriorating and health/mana/repair tools are essentially finite (yes, you can replicate more but enemies drop less credits than healing/repairing eats up, so you're constantly "dwindling down") it becomes a major frustration, and the reason why the wrench is such a meme weapon because it's what everyone was eventually forced to fall back on.
>>
>>343673262
no, she actually doesn't. she created the hybrids but they're not under her control.
>>
The game literally gives you machines that refill your energy and health, and also respawn chambers. Stop being a fucking scrub.

do you have the attention span of a goldfish? give the game some time.
>>
>>343675153
after engineering deck if i remember correctly. Also it has the same pace of the first Bioshock so if you're a Bioshock babby it should be familiar unless you think Infinite is the best one and are too used to it.
>>
>>343677340
10 minutes is an exaggeration, but I find myself stopping a lot because nothing in the game is keeping me interested so far. Whereas the first game I loved from start to finish.
>>343677879
I think I'm at this point, so hopefully I'll start to enjoy it soon, thanks.
>>
>>343677239
It was never about difficulty, just that it isn't fun.

it's the sequel to a game you loved and /v/ is frequently masturbating over it so give it the benefit of the doubt and keep playing. ss2 is on everyone's 'best pc games ever' list for a reason.
>>
>>343678456
Honestly the flaws of SS2 became a lot more apparent to me after I played SS1. For me it picks up on Engineering but unfortunately it all falls apart toward the end.
>>
>>343678491
What's not fun about the game having respawning enemies?
>>
>>343678905
Because you're trying to conserve as many resources as possible when going through an area and because enemies don't drop health or ammo often you're just forced to slug it out with a wrench, not what I'd call fun.
>>
>>343680220
normal enemies die within 2 hits at that point, so it's not much of an issue.
>>
>>343673625
he be leanin on dat stasis joe
>>
>>343680220
>conserve resources
Stop being autistic. Once you have energy weapons you virtually get unlimited ammo.
>>
>>343677239
>respawn chambers

quicksaving and -loading takes about 1sec so those chambers aren't even necessary.
>>
>>343682032
>even using energy weapons

The game gives you plenty of ammo for standard even on the highest difficulty provided you aren't tripping alarms 24/7.
>>
>>343682162
I like being punished nanites for dying, it gives you an incentive to play smart.
