Witcher 2 was kinda full of those things, like how you get an extra dialogue option from Roche just by finding a diary in the old asylum, or that you learn what's up with Loredo and his mother that way.

Did anyone else feel the ending of Blood and Wine was a little off compared to the rest of the series?It felt somewhat bizarre that Geralt would be at all concerned about reuniting Sylvia and Anna Henrietta when Sylvia had commited such blatantly evil acts. It was Sylvia's fault that hundreds of innocent people were slaughtered in their beds and it was Anna's fault for refusing to put her duties to the kingdom above her sister. Her trying to hide her sister away lead to a mass slaughter and there's no option to call her out on it.
I liked the DLC other than that but this aspect of it bugged me greatly.

I feel like 2 had way more moments where it was possible to make some horrible decisions like trusting elves, evil spirits, agreeing to be blindfolded etc. but it was also possible to fuck up other parts if you weren't paying attention, like when the ghost gives you a test on the details of the battle that happened there a few years ago or when you're trying to solve the puzzles in act 3 involving the Golem. tw3 has *some* of this, but they're much more sparse and it ends up feeling quite a bit more like your hand is being held.

I know it's late to reply, but after Baptism of fire it's starts to become clear that the author is drunk while he's writing. Random passages way on the future are inserted for no reason, long parts of the book are written by Dandelion and reads like a history book, and the books jump around everywhere. People were right to assume that bringing in Ciri and the Wild Hunt in 3 was going to drag it down.
The problem is that Ciri is only an *okay* character and her super duper importance isn't really interesting. The Wild Hunt also ends up being too spread out and doesn't get enough face time or details to really be intriguing or have any sort of presence. So it's quite ironic how the plot of tw2 about tracking down a man on steroids to clear your name and uncover the mystery behind an assassination plot, ends up being way more enjoyable and relateable than the epic tw3 story.
Thank God all the side quests and expansions, which feel a lot more like the witcher, are great.

It's not lag inside the UI, it's when you open it.
Like if you hit a hotkey (M / I etc) there's a solid second between hitting the button and the "UI opening" sound going off, and the actual fucking part of the UI you wanted popping up and being interact-able. There's also a less noticeable, but still slight delay whenever you switch between menu pages.

this was one complaint I never understood about witcher 2 - did people just not account for the fact that DISTANCE to enemy was also a face of what geralt would do? geralt lunged at distant enemies, for example. you eventually learned to incorporate that into your movelist to move around quickly.

Plenty of people have finished the game on insane mode and they seemed to get the hang of it eventually. I don't understand the complaints either, finished the enhanced edition twice on dark mode and eventually you learn Geralts moves well enough to anticipate what he'll do.
