My dad only plays Civ IV and V On occasion since hrs usually busy. We've not had the time to actually play multiplayer together in years though, different schedules and all. I think we're gonna try CiVI together when it comes out though.
He actually introduced me to pc gaming with Rollercoaster Tycoon and Homeworld. Come to think of it he might not know there's an HD version of Homeworld. I'll have to get that for him before the steam sale ends.

I have fond memories of watching him play this growing up, he's played it to death. I really want another singleplayer Mechwarrior, MWO doesn't really do it for me though it is somewhat fun.
I get the feeling he'd like Total War as well, I was playing through Rome a few months back and he occasionally offered input on the overall strategy I was using. He's not one for fast-twitch games like shooters or action games but I get the feeling he'd really love strategy.

My dad loves Ratchet and Clank and God of War series. Hes kinda dumb though so I have to help him through half the levels usually.
He loves Gauntlet too, so I got him Diablo III and he got addicted to it for like a month.
