What are some good RPG's with decent character customizations?
Hard mode, no MMO's.
Dragon's Dogma is a great RPG with excellent character customization

The only games that let you play as genuine non-humans (not counting shitty demihumans like elves and dwarves) are the Elder Scrolls games and, going back far enough, games like Istaria and Everquest. Everything else I can think of is a tabletop RPG, and at that point you're literally just using the power of imagination and not taking about Vidya.
And at that point, we may as well close the fucking thread, because there's nothing else to discuss there.

The list of non-MMORPG games that have good character customization is extremely short if we're excluding Dragon's Dogma.
Maybe Soul Calibur IV & V. Not as good as DD but fairly decent overall (for a fighting game character creator).
Saints Row The Third & IV. Character models look really janky nowadays, but it counts.
Everything else I can think of is either an MMORPG or a lobby co-op action RPG. Blade & Soul, PSO2, Champions Online, etc.
