It all sounds nice but I'm afraid that because the game will be much prettier, any fanmade models/effects etc. will look out of place. Cartoony graphics are what made warcraft mapping so accessible for many. But perhaps I'm just underestimating the community. By the way,do you think blizzard will pull another -we own your maps- thingy or did they learned?

But for real though, it may be sad that I can't see another RTS Warcraft game again but in all honesty, I think it's for the best.
I haven't played the recent Starcraft and Diablo games but from what I heard, those games are not so good when compared to the previous games. I have seen some gameplay of those games and from what I can tell, the game doesn't quite feel and look fun when compared to its previous games.
If that's the reception of the game series they tried to resurrect after a long time of idling, what chances do they have of making Warcraft IV a hit with a good gameplay. Even their newer/fresher games like HotS and Overwatch is not exactly what I call fun (Hearthstone's Ok at best but the newer updates kinda bugs me, especially with the whole wild and recent decks rule).
I'm not saying that Blizzard can't improve but their recent games makes me give a bad view on the company.
