Anyone else don't like how they handed SHIFTing? Maybe I don't get it or am overthinking it, but I always thought of it as consciousness "merging" or something, not completely fucking swapping with one another.
What's stopping one of them from another timeline coming and replacing them at the Final Decision end like they already did? Since there's infinite timeless, it just feels like it'd result in a endless SHIFTing battle.

There are many things wrong with this scene but this isn't one of them. She waited a month before she told him to sleep with her. And that was when she was drunk and suffering an episode. If anything, Sigma took advantage.

Luna only existed in the timeline where Sigma lost his arms, the one Diana chose to save Phi knowing she contracted Rad-6. Not in the one where Sigma and Diana stayed in the shelter and have kids.
Ya know, the more I think about it, the more I actually really like Akane in this game. You have to remember this game is right after 999, and even after revealing herself as Zero Akane was never mean or spiteful.
She really does want everyone to survive the Decision Game. And the one thing she absolutely is torn up over is destroying Junpei. Everyone else she wants to survive but otherwise doesn't care too much about. Hell, Keikaku Akane really shows her stripes when she kills Junpei, herself and Carlos to make them shift. She's not outright sadistic but she does make some pretty mean choices if it means the best outcome.

It feels so human and true. The rest of the game feels very "anime". But in those scenes Sigma and Diana actually felt like actual persons.
The writing difference between the 10 months section and the general game is HUGE.
So big even that it's pretty jarring. Almost like they began writing the story from that section forward, making it the best written part.

For instance, if we control Diana, where is the ability to say no to Sigma and not get pregnant? Outside of the puzzle rooms and handful of choices, the characters act by their own will. The player controls none of them. In that sense, who is solving the puzzles isn't really relevant. We are watching the puzzles being solved through Delta's glasses. That's where the entire game takes place, even when he takes them off.

That's too bad because it's happened, and I'm not the only one for sure. D2 End is my favorite part of the entire game. I understand why things very likely ended up like this but it doesn't mean I won't pretend that I feel satisfied or not upset. And being severely disappointed with how it ended doesn't mean I don't think the game had great parts either. I finished it in 2 days, the ride was enjoyable and some moments were wonderful. Doesn't nullify what I think is a horrible conclusion, if you can call it that, to this series.

So many things disappointed me with this game. I think the straw that broke the camel's back was the non-ending sequel bait despite being promised a conclusion to the series.

I'm glad the game exists, and I was happy playing it. But I can still be disappointed at how flawed and disappointing it is.
Also, the game really needed more puzzle rooms. The pacing was horrible, leading to a huge stretch at the start of the game and a huge stretch for like the last several hours where it's nothing but story sections. They could have solved this with just two extra puzzle rooms - one at the beginning before having to do all the vote sections initially, and a final escape room near the end, like both previous games had.
It almost felt like the puzzle rooms were more like an afterthought in this one.
