This game was good but not great and doesn't deserve the 'Mario World' name.
I want a real Mario World 2 based on the engine of the original game.

It's a great game, it's just not a top tier masterpiece like the first SMW. I want another proper 3D Super Mario more than I want another SMW world though.

I agree that it really wasn't a "Mario World 2". There wasn't much in it that was similar to how SMW did things.
I also agree that it wasn't just good. It was amazing. There's a reason why people talk about Yoshi's Island games and don't ask for more Super Mario World games. Unfortunately, it seems like their ingenuity ran out after Yoshi's Island, or was only directed towards SM64.

The original on DS was incredibly bland. NSMBU is what the NSMB games should have been from the start.
The World title was only added in the international releases. It was never a proper World sequel.
Aside from taking Yoshi out of levels, NSMBU is exactly like World and all the better for it.
