A "paradox" is something that can't be true, yet must be true. For example, in the grandfather paradox, if I go back in time and kill my own grandfather, I can't exist, yet I must exist, because I have to go back in time and kill my grandfather in order for me not to exist. Therefore, my existence is paradoxical.
In this bootstrap "paradox" (not actually a paradox), Delta must exist in order for himself to exist, and quite clearly does exist. Therefore, there is no paradox, no contradiction.

There are like 3 rooms (bar, maintenance, lirbary) in the beginning of ZTD that are ripped straight from VLR. They even share similar themes. Suits of armor used as weapons, Secret bomb in the floor in maintenance, and elevator chair and that puzzle pylon thing in the lirbary.

Finished it last night, pretty good. I'm sad to say it was my first Zero Escape game, so I felt like the stuff with Junpei, Akane, Sigma and Phi were lost on me, but otherwise it was a pretty great ride. I'll be honest, when I had to call out who Zero really was I was heading into the choice like "Fucking shit I have no clue oh fuck" and then the answer just came to me in a split second, like an epiphany. Made me chuckle considering all the SHIFTing talk.
Green team was pretty boring aside from the kid.

It's not that there needs to be, it's just that its a strange thing to try to wrap your head around, that their reasons for existing is because the exist in the future, its the opposite of how its usually supposed to work. Plus, it doesn't seem possible for the loop to start, because Delta is required to run the Decision Game which leads to his own birth. His existence in the past is dependent on him existing in the future: its a tautology.
Again, it's not as though there needs to be an answer to the question of how it started, nor am I saying that you're wrong, I'm just explaining why a lot of people may describe his existence as paradoxical.

really disappointed in how it ended, as i've loved this series so intensely for the past 5 years. i really doubt they'll make a sequel, as it's been marketed and decided that it's the last one.
ztd had my favorite moment in the series but the number of plot holes and unresolved ties, the utter failure that was the villain in every single way, and pretty much the whole throwing out the window of VLR's plot, man so many things went wrong.
apparently, the script writers for 999 and VLR were the same but not for ZTD. and comparing VLR's 3 year development time with this game's > 2 year development time (the script itself got written in a year).
i'm grateful it happened at least, it's a miracle that it was made and i'm sure uchi is proud of it but i can't help but wonder how he feels about everything that changed; about how he had two other different writers to work with and all he had to compromise because of the budget. i wonder what the game would've been like if it had a proper budget, but we'll never know as we won't get a second chance.

Probably. So imagine Carlos A participates in the decision game and sends himself back in time 10 months via the transporter. At that point there are two Carlos(es) in the world. Carlos B participates in the game, and sends himself back just like Carlos A did. So what we can gather is that 10 months before the game starts, there will always be a Carlos who jumps back in time. In fact, before the game even begins it's safe to assume that there is already another Carlos.
That said, there can only ever be two, because the transporter sends a copy and not the original. So even though Carlos A went back in time, a version of him still exists in his own time (not for very long, though).
