Not Know Why Do People not Like Soundtrack Of DooM 2016.

Iz Weird
>>
>>343517724
I like it a lot but I can see why people wouldn't. There's a lot of wub wub and limited guitar or traditional non-meshuggah guitar. I wonder why they didn't get bobby back to do it

most people do like it.

i think its great.

because it was wub wub

i just muted it and put Nails, Slayer and Meshuggah on in the background, makes you fucking rage and it fills you with adrenalin like never before

>smashing a revenants face with his rockets while listening to angel of death
>>
Teenage metalfags who have been conditioned to have a kneejerk reaction to anything electronic.
>>
>>343518893
>it was wub wub

you know underages cant post here, right?

>anything with a slight electronic sound is wubshit
you make this too easy my little greasy metal loving teenage friend
>>
Because wubshit and metal shouldn't mix.

Game should have had classic thrash like the original Doom.
>>
>>343519403
You're the one defending fad music.
>>
>>343519215
>>343519403
alright my man, i do enjoy wub wub or whatever, electronic music

it just didn't feel like it fit in doom, it was more of a quake soundtrack imho, industrial electronic or whatever

i just enjoyed listening to metal music more, it made the game feel better for me, the electronic music just didn't hype me or do anything for me except for just being there
>>
>>343517724
How Can Dooms Be Real If Soundtracks Arent Real?
>>
That style of electronic metal just didn't fucking fit for Doom.

Then again I hate most modern metal in general. Anything past Pantera I'll probably have a hard time giving a fuck about.

anyone else on /v/ like Miracle of Sound?

>classic doom had thrash, anywhere
>being this unaware
Doom1's soundtrack was muddy and slow. I only really liked Kitchen Ace and Hell's Gate.
D44M's soundtrack is a masterpiece, mixing actual metal from a 9 string guitar, and synthesizers to produce a product that pushes the boundaries of what metal can sound like in different situations, which adds a new level to the atmosphere of the game. Doom1's sound quality made the tracks sound like children's editions of popular metal/thrash, only when Doom1's soundtrack is remastered with actual guitar and drums by people like Andrew Hulshult does it actually sound good.

I Hope They Bring More Single-Play Goodness Soon With Expansions. More Need Boss-Fights.
Should Emulate Ys Series When To Bosses It Comes.
>>
It just sounds awful. Muddy undefined guitars, electronic wubbing where it shouldn't be, everything is so drowned out and undefined.

I'd rather just dump on some Slayer or Iron Maiden or something and play.
>>
>>343519940
The old Doom games' soundtracks were a mixed bag of metal and slower atmospheric tracks. nuDoom is just full of noise.
>>
>>343520275
>>343519403
The reason it gets the wubwub rap is because it's overproduced in the same way

Even if it's not wubwub it still follows the same generic trends and shit that wubwubs do

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP17p1NG8zM&t=96
>>
I thought the soundtrack was pretty good. Then again I'm not one of those metalheads that demands everything has to be metal.
>>
>>343520491
I only like classic metal so I'm pretty fucking miffed about the new Doom's soundtrack.
>>
I think it's a good soundtrack for the game, I like that it is so dynamic to fit with what's happening, but fuck if I'll listen to it outside the game, it's way too produced and random and chaotic to be memorable

I'm more of a melody-enjoying kind of guy, and this soundtrack is way more about rhythm and production than actual composition

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhIS4FdS7co&t=16
>>
why are metal fans so fucking annoying
>>
There's no fucking melody, nothing to get stuck in your head, it's in one ear out the fucking other like most modern metal.
>>
>>343520592

That song has that fucking electronic wub fart garbage all over it.

One thing that's for sure about the soundtrack is every song sounds better at 1.25x speed

There's more Slayer than fucking Raining Blood, believe it or not

I don't know. Aside from one overly wubby song, it's closer to grunge than electronica. I'd still rather it be thrash, but i still think it's fine.

I don't see it senpai

>old doom influence
>""""""""influence""""""""

nigger they straight ripped tracks and midified them
>>
>>343521569
And I don't give a fuck. I'd rather have ripped off good music than shitty original 'music'

Most of the songs from Budokai 1 were plagiarized and it's still the best fighting game soundtrack ever.
>>
>>343521352
Never heard that one before, that's pretty good actually
>>
>>343521619
I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing, just saying that there wasn't so much of an influence as it was just straight ripping tracks.

No one who made the original music seems to care either, just stating a fact.
>>
>>343521219
could be worse, could be cannibal corpse

even if i think they are good i can understand the hate they get
>>
>>343521547

It's just really industrial and distorted sounding.
>>
>>343521327
Demolition Man-era Venom was really good.

Doom 2's best songs were the moodier tracks and not the metal ones

https://youtu.be/KhjxQuUT8lo
https://youtu.be/ILMtI7DmYn0
>>
>>343522245
That doesn't really describe grunge

Doom 2 used straight up ripoffs of Alice in Chains

Doom 2 was literally grunge

>>

It's not up to him. Fuck you, Bethesda.

The composer of far more capable of making better music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1r-B0cDC9Y
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-_uhaYBy9Q

I can understand they went for a more atmospheric aproach with the music instead but it all sounds weak and forgetable. Mick Gordon could have done far better.

>>343518893

I honestly think Djent does fit the game pretty well. I've been listening Tyrant of Death mostly in the background. I do think that various kinds of electronic music can work too if it's electro-industrial like Front Line Assembly.

Still, the whole Djentwub thing doesn't fit Doom well. Doom 1 and 2 had homages to rock and metal songs from the 80s and 90s. Quake was the one with the Industrial Rock soundtrack by NIN.
>>
>>343523658
>doesnt fit
>fit well

holy fuck I'm turning senile.
>>
>>343523658
Yeah, I think so too, the whole soundtrack of Doom would fit Quake much much better, if it was a Quake game I would fucking love the soundtrack to it

There are some gems in the soundtrack tho, but overall I think listening to something like Meshuggah is pretty spot on for this game
>>
I like it, it fits the gameplay perfectly but it's not something I would listen to outside of the game.
>>
>>343524012
>it fits the gameplay perfectly
It actually does. Music that's nothing like Doom for a game that's nothing like Doom.
>>
>>343517724
RELEASE THE FUCKING OST BETHESDA
>>
There's too much noise in there, too few memorable tunes
>>
>>343517724
The music is great, but the execution and how it is used and blends with the game is amazing
The title card was awesome and I love how it ended with doom slayer pumping his shotgun to the guitar riff
The music also scales with how much shit is going on and how much you shoot, the assault rifle shots are accompanied with a guitar chug for Christ's sake
