What are multiplayer games where I can comfortably assist and support the team?
support roles in the last of us' MP are mega-important
>>343513258
I only have a PC.
I just want to be the guy that does stuff from a distance or safely while contributing to the cause.
>>343513125
Red Orchestra 2
>>343513351
I guess I should add that I want it to be non-lethal preferably.
I have RO2 and not sure what I could do except snipe or something.
>>343513418
>and not sure what I could do except snipe or something
Destroy barriers and obstacles with satchel charges as engineer/sapper so your allied tanks can move forward in the map. Play as SL and try to hold positions so your team mates can spawn on you and mark artillery positions with binoculars. Give ammo to MG gunners. Plant booby traps as japanese to cover weak points. Without teamwork you cant do a shit on RO2
>>343513418
are you a gril
planetside 2
Jesus I miss smoke grenade launcher strats in BF.
Shame they moved ammo boxes off of assault.
>>343513853
I agree, it would make IR sights actually good and not some shitty gimmick.
>>343513125
Squad
MMOs
TF2, Overwatch
>>343514080
is a shit game.

t. mute
RO2 team leader,
Used to be able to play as Commander in bf2 and 2142 but dice has butchered all skill from bf since
Damn, I miss BFBC2...
>>343515000
lolno, even Project Reality is better than that no-content trash
>>343513125
what a strange way to ask for games where you can be a burden...but really, supporters are what make the difference between absolute defeat and victory - just like the snipers - but for different reasons; i've lost count of how many games i lost for having a ""team"" filled fucking retarded snipers
Wargame: Red Dragon.
>>343513125
certainly not that piece of shit you just posted
God, i fucking hate battlefield
>go play some conquest
>get whole squad to a point
>2 fucking tanks and and LAV out of nowhere
>kills everyone, takes point, moves onto the next
>nobody plays engineer
>people who play engineer either don't have RPGs or they suck ass and can't hit shit
>viper still in the air raping everyone
>guy in viper has 80 kills by the first half of the game
>guys in the tank have 40 kills each
>10 people still camping on the hotel rooftop with their shitty snipers
fuck this shitty game and it's shit vehicles

>didntgitgud: The POSt
>>343516432
you sound like a typical trash player
>>343516881
no, I'm just someone who's tired of playing alone in a 32-player team while half of them camp on a high building trying to level up their shitty snipers which don't get any better
>>343513125
>"support" the team
>sitting in a corner shooting smoke grenades
Ahhh, to be 12 again
>>343516168
In BFBC2, when played right, the sniper can be the most possible rage inducing class.
SAIGA + Shotgun Magazine + Explosives Leg Pouch
The ability to clear buildings in a matter of seconds. OP as shit motion detector. Throwing C4 through windows. Leveling up whole. districts. Destroying MCOMs without arming them.
When someone provides you with smoke cover, the rape train has no brakes.
>>343517000
>blaming others
Yet, this impossible problem is something only you suffer
>>343516168
Bush wookies are fucking useless.
Their "support" doesn't help win the game really unless you're playing rush, in which case they MIGHT be able to defend an objective, but in my experience the assault rifles were accurate and powerful enough at great distances using carefully controlled bursts that snipers were rarely useful anyways.
>>343517131
okay anon, I'll try harder to destroy these 3 tanks and 1 helicopter with my max 4 RPG rockets
>>343517120
>SAIGA + Shotgun Magazine + Explosives Leg Pouch
I was more of a M1A1 Thompson + Ammo Bandolier.
For some reason, the +ammo gave you like nine mags. The gun whompish sound is also hard to pinpoint.
Fucking around behind enemy lines was always fun.
>>343517337
I'm sorry, anon. We couldn't save your skill and it had to be put down. Sob sob.
>>343517169
i played as a sniper sometimes and i have to say i wasn't entirely useless for my team
by being near the frontlines i could spam some motion sensors while picking kits from dead comrades to spam a few ammo and meds if necessary
problem is most retards playing sniper are just kids trying to be cool as fuck and end up camping at the base in the most obvious of places and since it's a lot of them shooting only a few targets, the game ends before then even reach a positive k:d let alone a number of kills superior to 5
>pic very related: 2 or 3 guys doing the objectives and the rest camping at the mountain top for no reason
>>343516168
>0/13 K/D
jesus christ brazil get your shit together
>>343515182
Go play it?
Even pirate copies have full servers at all times of the day/night.
>>343517120
>>SAIGA + Shotgun Magazine + Explosives Leg Pouch
>The ability to clear buildings in a matter of seconds. OP as shit motion detector. Throwing C4 through windows. Leveling up whole. districts. Destroying MCOMs without arming them.
this was absurdly overpowered as fuck, the only thing you needed to destroy the whole world was someone to give you cover for a couple of seconds
>>343517775
It got boring.
I went back to it a year after I stopped, won six games in a row straight off the bat and dropped it again.
I miss the feeling of early play. The demo had hit me like an orgasmic sack of bricks.
>>343516432
>>343517337
I feel you man.
I have to seriously call everyone out in all multiplayer games I play.

Planetside 2 transporting people or farming minerals in the new system. It's not that safe though but in certain areas it can be. Or running around repairing stuff, though youll only get a lot of points if you do that in the midst of a battle.
>>343517775
nexus is doing a great work so far
and it's almost offensive the difference between their easy access servers and the bloated shit EA implemented on bf3hopefully for me the game was also quite bad, making me never want to play it and going back to bc2 permanently
>>343515814
Project Reality would be a good choice for OP
Too bad logistics squads never caught on, they'd be perfect for him.
>>343518108
Hey, one-man army. Always!

I'm not even GOOD at aiming. My reflex are average at best. I'm just really good at guessing what someone else will do. I don't know if there's a name for that talent. The only technical skill I can say I'm above the masses in is lobbing shit. Anything that has a pronounced arc, like a grenade, I can land exactly where I want.
>>343513125
the smoke grenade launcher is the most underrated tool in the game. You can spam it endlessly to create a massive visual barrier. Plus, it's practically a shotgun and railgun at the same time. It can kill anyone in one-shot at any range
Insurgency has awesome support class if you know how to use it. Many times retards take that class and use the M249 as a standard rifle with 100 bullets.
I like playing support in games too. In many cases in RTSs I act as rear security and drop supplies (which costs resources that i need to build my own army) but instead my teammates can roll out tanks faster instead and I protect the capture points with weaker infantry. Works almost every time.
>>343519412
Bonus points for the insult given when you kill someone with it.
>>343513125
Does BC2 still have a big enough playerbase on PC? I miss it so much
>>343520972
I was literally playing it half an hour ago, it is still active.
At least 2 full servers right now in Aus, and it is like 1 in the morning here.
>>343520972
There's almost always at least 1 full server
