They should have spent a little more time on Ryu though, just one more fight would have done it but I get him sitting their thinking wouldn't have been the most interesting. I like that his resolution wasn't getting the hado removed but learning to work with it. Necalli was pretty underused as well, makes me think they want to do more story and bring him back. I've seen people complain about Nash as well but I think he worked quite well and probably had the closest thing to an arc out of the whole story

It's more likely that Capcom goes back on their word for "There won't be any other version of SFV" to release a version with all of what was added in its first year in one single pack, that could probably atract some people, and then open another can of worms for going back on their word that there wouldn't be more than one version for SFV.

I think they need to make a goty edition if anything. I doubt there're many people who will actually change their reviews on Steam even if everything wrong with the game gets fixed. EVO and Capcom Cup will probably bring a lot of hype and new players but it's likely most of them will end up not buying it because of those reviews. story sucked. way too much japanese anime overacting that went on too long. the plot was stupid. necalli did absolutely nothing and ryu just pulled dumb power-of-friendship tier bullshit out of his ass
the constant cutscene loading was also bad. you finish a fight, then the game loads for 5-10 seconds even on an ssd, just to show you a 3 second cutscene of the bad guy falling over. then it loads another 10 seconds even when the characters stay in the same stage. its so annoying.
ibuki also sucks. completely useless without v-trigger which is hard to build with her. shouldn't have removed so many of her moves.
gameplay overall still sucks. they need to change framedata for a lot of special moves. every character right now plays almost the same because every special move is -4 on block, so you can only use them as combo enders instead of actually using them as useful tools to set up situations.

Even if they make costumes payable through in-game cash, the fact that you have to pay (real or in game) money to unlock characters and stages is not a good thing. I don't mind if they give us unlockable characters and stages through whatever currency if they gave us a decent amount of characters and stages in the first place.
I paid like $30-40 (something in the line of that amount) for the game and they believe that it's a good thing that I have to grind or spend more money to unlock those characters and stages. That shit is not good. Those things should be free. Even SF4 (home version) has more characters and stages and its release price is the same with the current price of SFV. It's like purchasing a early access game.
And speaking about the game, there are still some things that the game lacks and has some questionable things. Where's the ring out knock out animation that you promised on the stages (only China has it and I can see that some stages has this possibility yet it's not there)? Where's Arcade mode (Fuck Survival. It's not enough to fill the void)? Why the hell did Capcom removed Zangief's Banishing Flat and quick Lariat?Why the fuck did Capcom remove Guile's ability to toggle between sunglasses mode and no sunglasses mode?. The game just feels like it's been rushed if you ask me.
Capcom can add all the shit that they want but one thing for sure, they fucked up at the spotlight and I don't think it's easy or even possible for Capcom to recover from it. I think that the only way to lessen the pain they have is to release SSFV that solves all issues SFV has while improving some things (like the UI. It feels bland to me).

In order to complete all single player, you would need to play every character's prologue, the main story on normal difficulty, then extra difficulty, complete all tutorials and trials, and then you would have to beat survival mode on every difficulty with every character. Hell difficulty wouldn't exactly be required, but would help for Fight Money and does give you a title for the character you beat it with

She makes it up for it with range over most other character's normals, though. Don't know if that will be enough. Plus, she lacks the mixup potential of characters like Ken. She needs like 7 situations to kill and some of her attacks seem outright useless, like her V-Skill or her split legs that apparently can be blocked low and high.

If I'm juri and the opponent wants to go in, I throw fireballs, if they want to go out I rush them down. If I'm playing a shitty player as guile and they go in without taking my zoning into account I still want to zone, if they are good at taking my zoning into account I still want to zone. If juri fights a shitty player who can't deal with zoning, I want to zone. If they can deal with zoning I don't want to zone.
That's the difference. Her zoning was just a tool used to feel out the mindgame or the character.

Try doing a simple cr.mp into a charge move, then holding back as soon as the move comes out. no, you just got desynced. the game was completely normal on their end and your inputs were being sent normally. it's just that whatever you were doing was being played as a Ken on their end. When one of you won the first round, the game checked that state of both clients, saw that the other guy was still fighting and realised neither of you are synced up, so it closes the match. You were probably getting beaten up on their end because you weren't doing anything that made sense. Or you were beating them up because they were hitting buttons at really weird times so you just landed hits on them nonstop.
