Fuck that. It's like 5 minutes from the beginning of the quest to the chapel, and then an X amount of minutes to wait until the right time except I have no time when I should trigger the shit.
They didn't want it to be too easy to get one of the best items in the game. There should be an air of mystery and complexity to the mechanic. Honestly it's one of the few parts of this shitty overrated game that actually feels like a neat RPG element, and not just a crap action game with stats.

Just wait until you finish the mission then. You can just hire the mercenary in Oakvale to follow you, costs pretty much nothing.
Also, you just need to get a massive amount of evil points in a single sacrifice to get the bow. I believe the method was by sacrificing someone at midnight, but I think the best time to do it changes depending on something. It's quite annoying, I understand your frustration.

Actually did this a couple months ago. Do what this anon tells you. Sacrifice the Oakvale hireling and sacrifice him near midnight.
Skorm wants you to sacrifice a "hero" I.e. big muscular dude. This also works for the bandit hireling in the bandit camp(? Assuming he's the jacked one)

And it was never boring playing exact same way. I wish evil was more appealing, evil always felt like too much work and just eating baby chicks was lame.
I vaguely remeber something about having better chances if you were completely good on the allignment scale before making your sacrafice.
